Great to hear about your score man. Hey I have couple of questions, please see if you could answer any one of them.
1. how did you manage to solve these question so fast?
2. When you said RC were evenly spaced, how many RC you saw?
3. did you used large monitor for this test?

Like I said, I was able to breeze through quant in between, I felt I got a string of questions I found easy and that saved a lot of time. Verbal I have always completed before time, even in the mocks. The only thing that always delayed me in verbal was RC and the RCs on the test were pretty simple.

I got 3 RCs and each with gap in between. I heard a lot of people got two RCs continuously on the Online test.

I used my laptop which is a 14 inch screen. That is actually sufficient for the test. Also, you aren't allowed external monitors.

Congratulations on the score!!!
Just a question....Are u a native speaker?

No, I'm not a native speaker. However, English has always been my primary language so my language was already pretty good to start with. But I still feel the GMAT is not a test of English Grammar and can be solved using the rules defined.

I got 3 RC passages and all evenly spaced across the section. Quant I would say, same level as GMAT Prep and a bit easier than the Kaplan Mocks. But don't take my word for it. What I find hard, you might find easy or the other way round.

My test was supposed to start at 10:00 AM. As instructed I logged in half an hour early. I just had to take 4 photos from all the directions of my workspace and upload a picture of my ID proof. And then the video capture started. Within less than two minutes a proctor joined and asked me to show the whiteboard. That being done she started the test.

Quant was smooth, I had just one question I was struggled on. I panicked a little because I almost took 4 minutes for that. I was lagging a little at that point. However, I breezed through the next 8-10 questions and I realized I had a lot of time left. Slowed down a little and took the rest of quant at a comfortable pace. Honestly I felt quant was much easier than the 700-800 level questions I scored on GMATClub. I guess I made some silly mistakes because I don't recollect having to guess any questions. So the Q49 was a little disappointing. As I had finished almost 6 minutes early I decided to stick on the last question for almost 5 minutes and then submitted the last question.

Verbal was again pretty smooth. The biggest relief for me were the RCs. They were pretty easy to understand and were evenly spaced across the test. I was left with almost 8 minutes on the last question. I must have spent 5 minutes on it and then submitted the question. Showed the proctor my board which she acknowledged and took my break. This was the only interaction I had with the proctor.

IR was probably the only part of the test I felt I had to struggle. I had a couple of tough ones. I ended up getting a 6 so I probably messed up at least 2-3 questions. I had to guess the last question because I didn't have enough time.

Hope this helps future test takers.

Congratulations for great score.

I am wondering how you have managed to finish the test before the stipulated time? I mean this is the speed with which you started? Or you have achieved this speed with accuracy by doing rigorous practice?

It will be really helpful if you share some time management tips specially in verbal or guessing/skipping strategy if you have followed.

I am also interested in knowing how do you measured whether you are going along with time or not?

Thanks in advance.

Congrats. I am studying since April and still can’t get more than 35 on Verbal. Really getting anxious and using medications to resolve this problem

Congrats on your score!!!
I saw that you mentioned about kaplan mock tests in one of your reply.
Since I am also taking kaplan mock tests , I would like to know whether your mock scores were inline with your actual score especially verbal score..

And all the best for your future things !

I was scoring 690-710 on the kaplan mocks. The last one I took was a 710 just two days before the exam. I scored a 750 on the official mock but that was 20 days before the exam. However, I had already seen a passage before and some of the questions were repeated.

Yeah, I've seen people get a 760 with that score but it's confusing how the GMAT algorithm works. Here's a screenshot for reference:

Hi, I've answered some of you questions on this same sub forum. For quant anything over 2 minutes was exceeding the time for me. And for verbal a little less than 2 min per question. I had memorized the time at question number 10, 15, 20 etc so that I'd know how much over or under I was.

Congratulations on your score.

I just want to know what device did you used to take the picture of your room? Did you used your phone or the laptop/pc itself?

Also, what materials did you used for RC and CR? I'm looking to score around 650 and really struggling with RC!!

Thank you.
