My offline GMAT EXAM was scheduled on 28th July. As GMAT online is extended till 14th August. Now Can I reschedule my offline GMAT exam to ONLINE GMAT EXAM. Or do I have to make fresh registration for ONLINE GMAT EXAM?? My exam center is in Mumbai and here condition is very serious,so I am thinking to give online exam.

Hey I am also from Mumbai . Had planned to give it in July at the centre but the centre isn’t picking up calls. How do you get to know if centre will allow us to sit for exam if they don’t cancel it from their side?

I got through to the center (pearson mumbai, they were doing some sort of cleaning); they said minimum 1st July is when they're expected to start (but don't take that as final). I'd suggest giving the online gmat.

If the center is open, there's definitely someone there to pick the phone up (I infact called the building where pearson is located!).

I have my Test booked for 16-July in Pearson Andheri and have received my email confirmation as well.

Even I was trying to get hold of them on 022-40056787 but there was no response since last week.

I spoke to Pearson Vue (India) today and they gave me a confirmation of my booking but not a guarantee of execution of the actual Test citing current circumstances.

A few queries:
1. Should I travel to Andheri and check the status of the Center this week? Its around 15kms from my house.
2. How long should I wait before I re-schedule to another Center?
3. Has anybody taken the GMAT in Andheri in the past few weeks?
4. GOM has announced https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/maharashtra-extends-lockdown-till-july-31-2253967 another lock-down extension till 31-July. Will that affect Test-takers of July?
5. What is the status of the Hinduja Center in Mumbai?

The Mumbai centres situation remains dicey -Due to max number of cases. Even coaching centres are in the dark about when centres will re-open. You should explore other possibilities in case lockdown extends.

Please advice on the above.

Just want to know from people, who have given online and offline exam. How different is ONLINE from OFFLINE?
Does having no break or switching from quant to verbal section immediately makes a huge difference in your performance?
Or
Is it something you can get used to it. If you study for say 3-4hrs straight every day, then It does not make any difference.

yes you need a steady connection. Not sure about cancellation though. I did read mobile hotspot is prohibited. So beware of that too.

But after you make contact, how do you silence your phone? After you upload photos you are not supposed to move away from camera... after uploading photos and clicking refresh button only, the recording starts- there is a chance to quickly keep phone away, they also know this since they only let you do phone uploads. After I uploaded photos via phone, I kept it much far away & not in sight. And had no issues. Also you will see a prompt saying, phone shouldn't be within arms reach. But make sure its as far as possible.

Hi, I suggest you keep your phone near you and on loud, until you mak contact with the Proctor.

I realized after waiting on OnVUE for 15 minutes, that I had two missed calls from GMAT. (I am not clear as to why nobody addressed me on OnVUE).

After 15 minutes, I couldn't contact anybody either on phone or on OnVUE.

It's been 2 weeks of follow up since then, but I haven't been able to give the online exam yet.

Just want to make sure nobody else faces the same problem!

it doesn't make much of a difference, if you get used to the no break thing, I got over with my quant 5 mins early, which I used to relax. Depends how soon you finish your quant, and not to take baggage of that section onto verbal. Just leave it once done.

I did system test 5 days before exam, it worked. On the eve of test I couldn't get it to work- basically mobile link wasn't working to upload photos, which made me crazy nervous and I wasn't happy with laptop uploads. But it magically worked once real test started.

Hey! That’s really cool! I gave mine exam on 12th June and there is still no result. So unfortunately, time varies...

I gave GMAT online on 25th june, score came in less than 36 hours of completing the test.

Used Whiteboard, whole experience went very smoothly. No hiccups whatsoever.
Did receive a call, on laptop, to show my whiteboard.
GMAC is getting a lot quicker with the test scores.

Quant seemed very easy, little surprised with Quant score.

yeah received within 2 days. And whole thing was smooth, I showed whiteboard myself each time, so no calls!!

Yeah seems like opening centres is last on their priority list especially for Maharashtra govt. ? considering other activities are full throttle. And people are out and about chilling.

Great online score there! How did you feel about verbal? What time did you give exam. Mine was at 9pm, not my favourite time. My verbal score was lower than my mocks' score.

If you try to book on saturday
time slot available will show till 11.30am only.
If you try to book slot on monday
time slot available will show from noon 2pm only.
Sunday holiday.

Rest days - you can book 24*7

Guys,

Ive cancelled my Test Center exam (which was scheduled on June 29) on the 17th of June.
I havent yet got my refund and it has already been 11 days (7 full working days + 2 Saturdays + 2 Sundays) despite getting a mail telling Ill get my refund in 4-5 working days,

Can anyone suggest what to do? :(

Hey ask1,

I would suggest write a mail to them or even raise a trouble ticket, just in case. You can find the details, according to the region, for contacting them through this link

I also had my refund pending from their side for my cancelled GMAT Test Center exam. It took around 3 weeks for them to initiate. But yes in the end you will get your refund anyhow. Its just that it might take some time for them to initiate :)

Hey Rampant,

I think after 11th June 2020 you can give it anytime, if eligible. If you are not able to see the slots or unable to book the exam, I would suggest you to drop a mail or raise a trouble ticket to GMAC to assist.
Some people did face problem initially, but now, I think things are smooth.

Hi there

Can please someone help with this?

The first time I ran the testing software it asked me to post pictures of my surroundings, and initially I thought I would appear for the test at the old location. And I completed the test and posted all the required pictures. Now, I have decided to appear for the test at a new location, and when I again ran the software(at the new location), it did not asked me to post any pictures. So, is it going to cause any issues? Moreover, if the speed of the internet is fluctuating does it cause any issues during exam?

Hey, so I was scheduled to appear for one next Monday. I sent a mail to GMAC asking the same questions and today I got a reply saying the exam is cancelled. Anyway, given the new lockdown in the state of Maharashtra, I don't think they are going to open anytime soon.
