The internet has to be stable. If there is a drop in the connection during the test, the test will be canceled. So keep this in mind. I do not know about the software not asking for pictures again. Maybe someone with this experience can pitch in.

Can please someone help with this?

The first time I ran the testing software it asked me to post pictures of my surroundings, and initially I thought I would appear for the test at the old location. And I completed the test and posted all the required pictures. Now, I have decided to appear for the test at a new location, and when I again ran the software(at the new location), it did not asked me to post any pictures. So, is it going to cause any issues? Moreover, if the speed of the internet is fluctuating does it cause any issues during exam?

I guess so because tethering to a mobile hotspot is prohibited.

Isn’t this too awkward to use during exam? And heavy? Can’t we use a scratchpad with marker?

Have any specifications been given by GMAC regarding kind of physical whiteboard to be used?

My offline GMAT EXAM was scheduled on 28th July. As GMAT online is extended till 14th August. Now Can I reschedule my offline GMAT exam to ONLINE GMAT EXAM. Or do I have to make fresh registration for ONLINE GMAT EXAM?? My exam center is in Mumbai and here condition is very serious,so I am thinking to give online exam.

Hey I am also from Mumbai . Had planned to give it in July at the centre but the centre isn’t picking up calls. How do you get to know if centre will allow us to sit for exam if they don’t cancel it from their side?

I got through to the center (pearson mumbai, they were doing some sort of cleaning); they said minimum 1st July is when they're expected to start (but don't take that as final). I'd suggest giving the online gmat.

If the center is open, there's definitely someone there to pick the phone up (I infact called the building where pearson is located!).

Hi.

I have my Test booked for 16-July in Pearson Andheri and have received my email confirmation as well.

Even I was trying to get hold of them on 022-40056787 but there was no response since last week.

I spoke to Pearson Vue (India) today and they gave me a confirmation of my booking but not a guarantee of execution of the actual Test citing current circumstances.

A few queries:
1. Should I travel to Andheri and check the status of the Center this week? Its around 15kms from my house.
2. How long should I wait before I re-schedule to another Center?
3. Has anybody taken the GMAT in Andheri in the past few weeks?
4. GOM has announced https://www.ndtv.com/india-news/maharashtra-extends-lockdown-till-july-31-2253967 another lock-down extension till 31-July. Will that affect Test-takers of July?
5. What is the status of the Hinduja Center in Mumbai?

Please advice on the above.

Hey, so I was scheduled to appear for one next Monday. I sent a mail to GMAC asking the same questions and today I got a reply saying the exam is cancelled. Anyway, given the new lockdown in the state of Maharashtra, I don't think they are going to open anytime soon.

Today I received an email regarding rescheduling of my GMAT EXAM on 31.12.2020. Now I have no other option but to give the GMAT ONLINE. bb. If I will cancel my exam and reschedule for online exam. Will GMAC refund me full amount??

My area has unstable electricity flow and the power back up takes a minute or so to connect again. So I was thinking of using the mobile hotspot.

Tbh Honest my friend, you get use it after 1-2 quant study session.
Just keep it on the right side of the laptop straight up and then you are good to go( if you write with right hand).

GMAC does say chalkboards are not allowed. But I do not know if this will come under that. I saw there were boards like that on Amazon so I was very careful while selecting.

That doesn't look to be a whiteboard tbh. It is more of a sticker you can stick on to a surface. Better go for an actual whiteboard.

Then better to use the hotspot the whole time. Switching networks might trigger the software. SO if the test allows you to use hotspot go for it.

yeah, I was too. I actually ordered from one of the links posted here. However, what I have received is a bit different from what was shown on amazon. The amazon one had ply on the backside, this one has a dark board.
