Hi bahareh66,

While I don’t think the GRE will be a magic pill that fixes your quant deficiencies, if you're curious about whether a switch to the GRE makes sense for you, why don’t you take an official GRE practice exam, so you can get a baseline score. From there you’ll have a good idea of how to move forward. If you end up taking a practice GRE and want some further advice, feel free to reach back out. Also, you may find it helpful to read the following article:

GMAT or GRE, which one should you take?

Hi bahareh66,

Most Programs accept both the GMAT and GRE as part of the application process, but before you switch Exams, you should make sure that the specific Programs that YOU plan to apply to will accept both Scores. If you are interested in taking a practice GRE Exam, then you access two for free at www.gre.org.

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far?
3) On what dates did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hi
Thanks for your message.
Actually now I’m doing my master in project management and I like to apply in PhD. There is no specific major and all majors in business are acceptable to me.
So I don’t focus on a specific one.
Today I try for GMAT, ( mock) and the total was 220. I’ve prepared only for verbal and I did the quant section only by chance.
But totally I’m off about math because my major was human science.
I practiced egmat ( only sc section) and sc book of Manhattan these are materials that I have studied so far.
I can practice 2,3 hours daily.
And before January I plan to take exam.

Hi bahareh66,

The PhD application process tends to be a bit more 'rigorous' than the MBA application process is - since there tends to be a small group of highly qualified applicants competing for a relatively small number of PhD 'slots.' As such, beyond having a strong GMAT Score, you'll need a strong OVERALL profile and you'll need to properly 'market yourself' to each individual Program that you apply to. By extension, you would likely find it beneficial to speak with an Admissions Expert about your overall profile and plans. There's a Forum full of those Experts here:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/ask-admissio ... tants-124/

With a 220, you clearly have a lot of work to do - in both the Quant and Verbal sections - before you will be able to consistently score at a much higher level.

1) On this CAT/mock, on how many questions did you have to 'rush' through at the end of each section (because you were low on time)? Did you run out of time and leave any questions unanswered?
