I have wasted lot of time in finding a good timer for my practice. I found one really good timer too
free stopwatch - check in google -New member - can't paste the link

This is a very good stop watch and has a floating window option ( Always on TOP )which helps you work your problems and click the lap after each Qn.

Help Required:
But GMAT Timer is just superb which helps not to even note my answers separately. One thing I miss is Always on top - Can you please help me with something that can store my answers and also be always on TOP of the window..?

It's a great app.

Is it possible for you to add another feature where one can select a specific number of questions and also the amount of time ?
This would help a lot in prep especially if someone wants to do 10 questions in 8 mins or some other combination of amount of questions and time.

Thank you

Good day everyone.

The GMAT timer for MAC doesn't work anymore.

I suggest you download another timer from the app store on your MAC.

Cheers.

GMAT Timer

I've written a simple timer (for Windows XP, Vista) for GMAT. It will definitely be useful in preparation.
12/29/2010 Please, use it as it is. I won't support it at least for the near future. If you need a more sophisticated timer, please, take a look at the GMAT ToolKit (iPhone/iPod Touch application).
If somebody wants to improve it, I will find and send you source files (CodeGear, Delphi) Thanks, Walker.

No sounds?
control panel-> sounds and audio devices-> sounds tab-> check if the sound scheme is selected to "No sounds" , instead it should be selected to "Windows default".

Other Timer Resources useful for the GMAT

As of 6/2010, we have a Timer built into the GMAT Club Question Forums:

See this discussion for more details and a demo.

It provides you with a list of all the questions you attempted!

Can we have an additional feature to collate the results in Excel?

It is not very clear what you are referring to as you are replying to a pretty old post. However, it's already in the Workbook. Search for it.

Hi bb,
Apologize for not being clear earlier. I wanted to use the timer with separate questions than workbook.
Eg. I want to practice 10 SC Qs from OG16.
Instead of searching for individual Q on GC, it would make sense to attempt the same from book
and maintaining an error log using above timer. I can save much time in this approach.
While i extracted the zip file, the timer works excellently to record timing for each attempted question.
However I need to copy paste the same in notepad since while pasting in excel, it does not create
separate column for Q no, selected OA and timing for each Q. Also what does small ICON beside TIMING function as?
WR,
Arpit.

I downloaded this program and used for 2 months without any issues. However, today, I couldn't open it. It kept saying "Window cannot find C:\\ ... Make sure you type the name correctly, and then try again." Can anybody help? The timer is very useful for my GMAT practice.

Thanks a thousand times!

There may be many reasons.... (anti-virus, permissions, free space, etc) download it again perhaps? That did not fix it?
