If you chose to see your scores they will be submitted. I do not recommend that you cancel your scores as you should look at this as a learning experience. Why go through all this and not find out you scores! Plus, there are many instances where you will feel you did poorly, and actually do just fine! I thought I BOMBED quant, but still ended up with a Q48.

YOU ARE GOING TO DO GREAT! Visulaize yourself pumping your fist after you destory this test, and bring that confidence in with you. Get the blood moving on breaks, forget about the last section, and remember that each question is an opportunity to boost your score (but stay in the time limits!). BEST OF LUCK!

We look forward to your debrief

Also how do I bring in the codes for the schools? on written paper or what?

You will not need the codes, and will not be able to bring anything into the testing center with you. Everything needs to stay in the locker! and leave your cell phone in the car (if caught with it you test will be canceled VERY BAD). They will have a screen to search for your schools, and it will be quite easy and untimed... take it easy brother/sister, you got this thing.

Didn't do to well mates. I got a 520 ( 35 Quant 22 Verbal ) which was below my usual average of high 500s on the Veritas Practice Tests. Sorry for the delay in posting how I did, I was real depressed for a while since I studied pretty hard for this exam along with being in school. I am pretty upset that my verbal dropped so low considering a month ago I was scoring high 30s and a 40 on the verbal section, but due to my focus on raising my quant, the quant score was consistent with quant scores from practice exams.

My goal was to gain acceptance to a top graduate program but now that I did not score high enough I may have to lower my standards and try to get any job possible out of undergrad or go for a grad program at my non target since they waive requirements for undergrad students at the school.

I am not really sure what to do right now. My plan may be to take the test again late next month since another schools deadline is August 1st. I might work as well if I can get a good job offer at a top fortune 500 company. I want to obtain employment back at my home state ( California) since I am an out of state student at Arizona, but it is looking pretty unlikely unfortunately :(

How should I change my study prep if I want to retake it next month? keep taking practice exams? review verbal and quant books again? Purchase additional study material and practice verbal and strengthen quant?

Hi chris,
first of all, read this inspiring story. If she can do it, you can too.
from-360-to-700-q49v37-128273.html
from 360 to 700 is more difficult than from 520 to 700.
Next, don't aim for 600, rather aim for 700 and prepare hard for 700( that should be the target in ur mind). If if you slip , you won't fall beyond 650 (which is still a good score for the schools ur looking forward to).
Take it as a challenge and prove urself.
As far as studies is concerned, i would suggest you to go through mgmat set of 8 books to brush up ur concepts, and for practice use only the official material ( og 10, og 11, og 12 , og verbal, og quant) keep an eye on og 13( soon to be launched, probably april first week)..Take 6 x mgmat tests and minimum 4 gmatprep(by reinstalling) under timed conditions..
Trust you will get more than the desired score.

As far as a good study schedule is concerned, you may have a glance at the fwg links:-

these discussions will give you a good insight about how to prepare a study plan and simply take off thereafter...
Wish you luck.

Is there any relevant threads for studying while in school? I am gonna focus on the verbal section since I need to improve at it again to get back to my old comfort level. Should I take a practice test or practice section every 3-4 days or stick to old regime where I review the various study guides from Veritas/Kaplan and then take a full practice exam once a week. I plan on retaking my GMAT in late April
