Hi guys,
I am very very upset hearing this news from lot of students who are appearing for GRE in INDIA. I heard that many people are hiring others to appear for GRE online. They are cheating by either mirroring the screen or secretly clicking pictures to attempt those questions. This can really do serious damage to people's ambitions and career. I am not an idiot sitting here and studying for 1 year for GMAT when people are doing such damage. I feel some real serious action have to be taken on all such people.
I am really frustrated by this issue, and want to understand if similar cases are happening in GMAT online as well. I felt the last time I wrote the GMAT online the difficulty have been increased a lot
I got this information from a family friend, who did the same thing. He informed that there are many students from 30-40 in one center each and every day attempting such exams and scoring 320+ . They have price for each score range. 1 lack Rs for 330+ and 50k - 60k for 320+. It's a big AF business in India right now. This is disgusting guys. I have no words.
This is not fake guys its very real.

Sorry to hear about this. There have been some ramblings about cheating on GRE which appears to be not as secure as GMAT.
Unfortunatley ETS does not seem to think the cheating exceeds the margin of error that they are willing to move on this item. There is always some cheating going on but usually it is so minimal and isolated that it is not worth pursuing. Sometimes it is not minimal but isolated to the point that the test-authority is unaware. It seems in this case, GRE has not acknowledged it and has not made any adjustments. At least not yet. I have heard the first rumblings back in September and it's been 3 or so months. That's disappointing as it damages the trust in the scores among admissions and ultimately ruins the hard work of those who actually studied...
It definitely sucks. Very Unfair and it is very damaging to the GRE. I don't know why they are not seeing it

manvig bb I think it was bound to happen, soon or later. It reminds me of IELTS scam sometime back for immigrations. I really hate to study after banging my head on laptop for 10 hours of work everyday and now this!!!!
But all I can say, ppl who have made it through the path of cheating will have to work really hard at some point in their professional life as everything is mean reverting.
