Great work as always, bb and the GMAT Club team!

As I did last year, I've decided to create an edited / simplified version of this spreadsheet as a Google Sheets document. I sorted the questions by category rather than number (except for RC to keep the passages intact), removed the analysis and test timer portions to keep things simple, and added "Lessons Learned?" and "MA" (my answer) columns to eliminate the need for a separate error log. I also made cosmetic changes such as text clipping to save space, and added more active links to the GMAT Club forum discussions and explanations.

Hi Cbtaylor ,

Sorry to hear that the original document is not working on your version of Excel (which version?). In the meantime, you can use my Google Doc version instead:

What is the version of your Excel? Could you provide the captured image of that error dialog?

I got it to work, thank you all!

Is there an error log for the GMAT quant and verbal books? They’re amazing and so helpful in keeping track of topics to focus on.

I'm afraid that there aren't error log for Quant and Verbal books. However, you could try this one since its Timer is improved and it could work with any source.

Hey guys,
It seems that v2.5 doesn't have timer sheet. Although, "GMAT Club Guide to OG 2018 v2.xlsm" which I got it from "The Official Guide for GMAT © Review 2018" is ok.

Hi!

Thanks a bunch for this report! Immensely grateful for your efforts!

Just wanted to point out an error in the Diagnostic Test Verbal part: Question 29 => The correct answer is B, not E.

Have a great day!

Hi bb / broall

The thank you's aren't really enough but still THANK YOU for this.
Can you confirm if the sheet attached on the "The Official Guide for GMAT © Review 2018" thread by carcass is the latest one?
I also can't get the timer to work on that one, I tried the fix mentioned in previous posts to change the question number column format to number.
The one attached on this thread v2.5 doesn't have a timer.
Pardon the pet peeve, the error log and identifying the questions per topic is all i wanted, all in all I very much appreciate for putting this together.

Cheers!

This is honestly incredible - thank you so much!

How do people feel about the difficulty levels assigned to questions within this Guide? I've just finished working through PS & DS and I must say, there are numerous examples where my experience in answering the questions is very different to the assigned difficulty level of the question.

Are people experiencing the same thing or is it just me? Obviously, I'm aware that some questions play to certain people's strengths/weaknesses which may make them easier/harder to answer but it felt like it was happening to me too often.

How is the difficulty level calculated?

I'd advise you not to worry too much about exactly how tough the questions are. As for how tough they seem to you, that's something that's going to happen on the actual exam as well. The difficulty level of the questions is decided during the pretesting process. But that difficulty level may or may not apply to individuals. For example, if you are particularly good at working through questions on Geometry, you might feel that a Geometry question that almost everyone else found very difficult was very easy.

Thanks a lot for the error log. I attempted to use the timer for the problem solving section but i get the error that i have selected wrong section to practice. Any suggestion on how to resolve this. Thanks. See attached screenshot

Thank you for yor report :-D

I see that you need to specify the question number that matches the question number in the books. The timer looks up those question numbers in Sheets Error Log, Column G. Hence, you need to put 62 and 80 to these cells.

Here I have selected the correct question number as you said(Exactly 62-80 for that matter). I am using this with all other section e.g CR,RC,DS and it works well however with PS, there seems to be some issue. Please check

Error.PNG

Can you please share link to this Guide to OG 2018? The attachment here is different and does not have timer.
