Re: New Error Log with Timer for GMAT practice [#permalink]
Would you upload a version that allows the user to type in her own "areas"?
People call different question topics by different names based on the prep books and websites that they use, so it would be really helpful if the user were allowed to make as many question topics as she wants and name them in a way that suits her.

If you want to type the area value freely, you are on your own risks. I mean that the pivot table would produce some unexpected results and the quant/verbal result would not work properly.

I tried to type in different values in the setting sheet but, Excel tells me that it is "protected" with a password. Thanks anyway.

I have uploaded new version and disable the protection on that file. If you modify any value in sheet setting, make sure to include that modified value in sheet quant/verbal result too.

Hi,

In sheet Error Log, try delete data in column A-G and I-K.

Oh, I tried to copy every area available in this forum into that file. So in case you don't want to use those area, you could ignore them.

Hi broall thanks so much for this, it's such a great resource. Just wondering, could we also use this Error Log for sources other than the OG? For example, if I was answering questions from the E-GMAT or Veritas quizzes and wanted to record my answers from those sources, how do I select it in such a way that the Error Log shows if the chosen option is correct or incorrect?

Yes, the YELLOW tab in TIMER sheet is user editable.

You need to manually enter OA in error log.

Hope this helps!

Unfortunately, VBA won't work in Excel for Mac. You could still type your results manually without Timer.

I really want to implement a sound in the timer when the time is over but the sheet is protected. Could you do that update ? I think it would be quite easy. Thanks a lot
