New Error - Log with Timer I've made a new version of Error Log with new feature: Timer . Now, you could not only manage your time during practice but also keep your practice history clear and precise. What's new in this version (v3.5) ? Timer feature You could manage your time while practicing any question from any source, including OG, OG verbal, and other materials. Estimate your ability by assigning questions with weights Inspired by Gnpth , I've decided to integrate weighting feature into this version. Now, you could assign weights to each question as you want. You could assign each question by difficult level , for example 1, 2, 3 and 5 for easy, medium, hard and very hard . Download the file to check for more information. In sheet Quant Result and Verbal Result , I've already formatted those results so you could see the data easily. You could also easily modify the threshold that is used to mark color to quickly get the result you want. Mark a guess to any question I also added a small feature that mark any question as a guess. This feature could be useful to help you focus more on your weakness. Pause the Timer I have added the pause/resume button so that you could pause the current session and resume it whenever you want. This feature is really useful that you dont have to reset your current session because of any occurred interruption. Small timer for current question only I have added a small timer that show the time taken for current question, not the total taken time for all questions in that session. Hope that this feature could help you manage your time better. Enhanced visual and improved the Timer I have added some visual elements so that the file looks better for practice. I have also improved some features in the Timer so that you coud start, stop, pause the timer or go on to the next question more smoothly. Requirements: Excel 2010 or later VBA could run only in Windows OS. Excel in Mac doesn't support VBA In order to run Timer, the macro must be enable Other information: In version 3.1, I have removed feature assigning weights by correct rate. However, you could still download version 3.0 to have that feature enable. In case that you face any error/problem/trouble , please reply in this topic. I will try to fix it asap. I really want to implement a sound in the timer when the time is over but the sheet is protected. Could you do that update ? I think it would be quite easy. Thanks a lot

I just want to ask that why do you want a sound notification? This timer isn't a countdown so the time is never over.

I think that a sound notification won't help you much. You should pay attention to the timer. I have added small timer so that test takers could know how much time they use in each question.

Hi, you could download error log file and use it for any source you want. Just manually edit the source and add OAs for those questions.

Hello,

I really love using this error log. However the last two times my the spreadsheet freezes and Excel also.
After doing some questions using the timer, the pop up to confirm the answer wont show up. Instead I can see a blank pop up and this is where Excel freezes.
Right now, I can only fix this by force quitting Excel on my pc and this means all my progression during my study session is lost.
Is there a way to fix this?

I see. This problem could happen because vba in excel could crash if it runs for a long time. I also received some feedbacks from other members about this problem.

Right now, I think that the best solution is to practice with small number of questions (up to 10 questions) in a session. After complete any session, save it and start new session.

I am thinking about the solution that I could run a web-based error log so others could practice better.

Dear broall
I've been enjoying this awesome error log for a while and I'm reaching to the row number 808 in Error Log sheet. It means that I'm going to be out of the row. How can I add new row without getting excel file unprotected?

Hi, you could copy an existing row then insert that copied row to the error log table to add new rows to that table.

The version which I had (although it was v3.5), was protected, so I wasn't able to simply copy/past rows. I see that you have made the current attachment unprotected. So we are able to add rows.

Hello, how do I error log an SC question when it combines multiple areas? The excel only allows to put 1 area for each question.
