Hey peeps!

R2 Waitlist here! After a day of "self-pity," I am back on my feet. I've read the waitlist threads from previous years and one can pick up the sense of camaraderie, which I think is important. Here's my contribution:

Given Eileen's note that: "we anticipate that your wait time from now will be relatively short, and that we will be able to finalize most of our decisions in April and early May," I wanted to share some "important dates" I have highlighted:

April 4: R3 deadline: In previous years/rounds, waitlist decisions have come a few days after a round deadline, when they get a better sense of the final applicant pool.
April 14-15: R2 Admitted Student Welcome. Not significant movement around it (besides the date noted above) but would be great if they admit people in time for it.
April 25: R2 deposit due. Important for yield. Note that R3 invterview invites come before R2 deposit, so no-deposits can free up new space?
April 20 & First week of May: R3 interview invites & R3 interviews. In previous years/rounds, waitlist decisions have come around interview invites/interviews
May 11: R3 decisions: In previous years/rounds, waitlist decisions have come a few days before a round notification.


Does anyone from R1 waitlist have a an idea from Eileen's comms on how many people were watilisted R1, how many were accepted/released and how many remain/are joining the ~100 new R2 waitlisters?

I remember Dee mentioning they would send ~150 people to the waitlist in R1.

Not sure how many were accepted/left the waitlist though :S

From Eileen's emails I am assuming AT LEAST 25

Patriot's Day/Boston Marathon in BOS today so not expecting anything. No emails since 3/30 and till haven't heard of anyone who has received a call. Compared to the 2017 waitlist thread, it seems like they have a different timeline this year...

20 days without any comms is a bit cruel with deposit deadlines coming up given how much info was shared at this point in past cycles...

Hmm...it's just so odd that she mentioned they haven't admitted anyone from the waitlist in April. That would be contrary to what some people have reported here, and contrary to what they've done in years past.
