Hello All,
I'm having a bit of difficulty framing my post-mba career aspirations and could use a hand. I'll try to describe what I'm doing now, and what I would like to eventually do - perhaps you can help me define it a bit better.
My work experience thus far is in a hybrid finance/software consulting type position.
Job 1: Implementing full trading platforms for hedge funds and then supporting those funds realtime (live trading / order execution, realtime analytics, portfolio reconciliation, compliance).
Job 2: Implementing post-trade collateral management software in the OTC Derivative sector (primarily deal with Sell-Side)
*In each, I manage the clients after. It's not simply a quick implementation - rather, I help onboard and am then responsible for the relationships between the client and my employer.
I've realized that my passion is in "user experience" (not sure if that's the right keyword). I enjoy monitoring and simulating the client-side of the product/service and then improving internal business performance based on findings. I'm interested in more than just the product - also the level of service provided (qualitative and quantitative).
Does the above description seem to be in a "product management" type pathway? Would this best be addressed by moving into a consulting MBA path? Or, is this more similar to a marketing-type program?
Feel free to ask for more clarification on the above since I'm having a bit of trouble defining it in the first place
Thanks!
