Hello everyone,

I am from Singapore and have scored 710 (IR8, Q46, V42) on GMAT.

I have 4 years experience in Healthcare/Pharmaceuticals Industry.
Undergraduate School: National University of Singapore
Undergraduate Degree: Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy)
Undergraduate GPA: 3.5/4.0

I am aiming for the following schools:
1) Northwestern
2) Chicago
3) MIT
4) Stanford
5) UC Berkeley

What do you think are my chances for these top-tier US Universities?

Should I revise my list to the mid-tier US Universities to stand a higher chance?

Thank you for your time!

Hi there,

Without knowing your complete profile (such as extracurricular activities and your ethnicity), it's tough to say how competitive you will be at the top-tier programs. However, your quant score is low, so I would suggest adding some mid-tier schools to your list. I hope this helps, but feel free to reach out at https://www.ivygroupe.com/contact if you'd like to discuss further.

Best,
Shaifali

Thanks for sharing your profile. Not much info to go off but the data points and your region. I would say you’re low on the GMAT and if you get lumped into the competitive Asian applicant pool you will probably be in trouble. The going rate for most of the schools you’re targeting is a 730 / 3.6 Split so that should be where you’re aiming for with the GMAT

Hi Buddy,

Please mention more about your profile so that we can evaluate and help you understanding your chances in the top tier programs. Considering your verbal and IR, I am sure that you can score better in Quant too.

You can also evaluate your profile and know your chances of getting into any top b-Schools by using our ingenious tool called Chances of B-School.

‘Chances of B-School’ is a unique admission chances calculator or tool to analyze your real time chances of getting an admission to a top MBA program (offered by top b-schools like ISB, INSEAD, Harvard, etc…) based on your GMAT score, work experience, your career aspirations, academics, self-analysis of your essays and interview skills. This tool will help you to focus your thoughts; by giving a factual picture of the B-Schools you have a good chance of getting an admission. We at General Education believe that finding the right school is a crucial decision and it has to be done with the help of exhaustive data and statistics.
Please click on the below mentioned link to use the tool.
