Good morning,
First post on the forum here. My main question: how early is too early to take the GMAT? I understand it is valid for 5 years. Currently I'm active duty military and won't be available to matriculate for another 4 years (fall 2020). How will admissions look upon a GMAT score that is 4 years old?
Also, by 2020 I will have 11 years work experience as a naval officer (special operations). Engineering background from public "ivy league", 3.2 GPA, white male. Haven't taken the GMAT yet but I will hope to shoot for 700+. How big of an issue will so much work experience be, in combatting the "why not an EMBA" question? Goal is top 10 school for a social impact concentration.
Thanks for your help!
Hey there dude,
Good to hear from you.
It doesn't matter when you take it. 4 years old is fine.
So basically, take the GMAT whenever you can. It might be better to do it next year (just in case for example you dont get into the school you want one year and decide to reapply) but other than that, what matters is the score.
Best of luck!
and I hope this helps!
