Hello all,

I had seen many posts asking the same question, however, I couldn't figure out what is going wrong with my understanding. I have been giving mocks from past 2 weeks, 9 mocks, but the maximum verbal score I pushed is 32. I was able to get 49 or 50 in quant all the time but verbal is my main backlog all the time, making my score to fall drastically. Can anyone please help me to how to improve my verbal score?

PS: I'm trying hard to improve in CR, have a better standard in SC (not great), comfortable with all kinds of RC's except if the topic is from Humanities.

Maybe a couple of the following threads could help:

https://gmatclub.com/forum/verbal-strat ... l#p2082192
https://gmatclub.com/forum/experts-topi ... l#p1857560
https://gmatclub.com/forum/powerscore-c ... ml#p937472

Regards & good luck,
Chris

Hey eswarchethu135,

So possibly more important that what you've been studying (as in what materials), how have you been studying? As in, what are you physically doing when you're studying? What does it look like? How do you structure your time? What do you do when you get a problem wrong? How have you been interacting with non-problem materials (As in not CATs and not practice problems -- think videos and course materials)?

Hi eswarchethu135,

Since you are so close to your Test Date, you should NOT try to learn anything new nor should you try to do too much work (NO more CATs and NO 'cramming'). You would be better served by doing some light review and getting some extra rest so that you can go into Test Day clear-headed and ready to work. It's important for you to use this upcoming Test Day 'event' to your advantage - by learning everything that you can about what Test Day is like for YOU. With that knowledge, you will be better able to train for your next attempt. You should also make sure to note your Score Result (if you decide to cancel your Score, we will still need to know how you scored, including your Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores). After Test Day, you should post back here (or you can feel free to PM or email me directly), so that we can discuss the results and how best to proceed with your studies.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich
