UNSTOPPABLE12
Hi ,

I was wondering what is the protocol when you will not attend the university that you have been accepted to? Should I send an email or just let the deposit deadline to pass and the university will assume that I am not attending the school?

Hi UNSTOPPABLE12 while there are no set guidelines, B School academia is a small world and you never know who you might end up seeking help from eventually. Since you and the school invested money, time, and effort into finding synergies, it is recommended that you end the process on a courteous note. Schools would obviously be curious to know which program you finally selected, but it is up to you whether or not you divulge the details of it.

You should reach out to the particular member of the admissions office who has been handling all the one-to-one communication on your case.

Best wishes

Thank you for the reply, and I suppose I should send the email to the adcom member who contacted me with the offer right? (or should I send it to the main email of the adcom?)

Hello UNSTOPPABLE12,

Please send it to the individual who is handling your case or who you have been communicating with. So, yes, the Ad Com member who shared the offer with you is the right person.

You could also copy the general email id of the Admissions Committee.

Thanks!
