I am sorry that I have to quit my MBA dreams. I cannot / will not take loans for MBA. I do aspire to reach leadership position but I dont think MBA is my route. Can you tell me an alternative route to leadership positions without MBA or any extra education?

I think this may not be the best forum to ask this question. Also, my experience suggests that career acceleration path are different for different industries and different in different companies under same industry. So too many factors included, any suggestion has more probability to be incorrect than being correct.

The MBA is not the only path, but the alternative paths also require strategic networking and skill building. If you already know what functional area you want to work in, start by building an exceptional portfolio/resume and knowledge base for that area. Look for companies that place more emphasis on an individual's skills and experience than their degree. Many companies like to promote managers from within their own ranks, so you may as well choose a company that invests in its employees for the long term.
