Statement 1: It takes the lathe machine 28 seconds to manufacture 20 screws.
We know the rate of manufacturing screws but not bolts hence
NOT SUFFICIENT
Statement 2: It takes the lathe machine 1.5 times more time to manufacture one bolt than to manufacture one screw.
We know the relationship between rate of manufacturing screws and bolts but the actual rate is unknown hence
NOT SUFFICIENT
Combining the statements
We can calculate the rate of bolts as well as screws hence
