At present I am working as Divisional Manager at Public Sector Bank with 11.6 yrs of Experience. I am looking after 67 branches under my Region. I have worked as branch head of different business size wise category of branches time to time and also worked at Admin Offices for control over branches. I aspire for PGPX from IIM A. How shall i prepare for GMAT to get through. Kindly suggest. Regards

Nope. No particular bias against/for IT folks. I would still recommend that you apply in R1

Ok but I think cracking round 1 with such tight timelines would be a long shot.

I believe that applying in Round 1 is actually a better idea, as the AdCom is more open minded and open to candidates, by the time R3 comes, the class mix becomes more important, so if you have a GMAT score that you are confident with, I would encourage you to go for Round 1. Secondly, PGPX is a very tight knit community, so being in Round 1 gives you more time to know your batchmates.

The good thing about IIMA is that even if you are rejected in R1 you can still apply in R2. Although I would not recommend doing so unless you have significant improvement from your previous application such as improvement in GMAT scores , promotions etc.

Professional experinece

I have 4.2 years of experience in FMCG giant ITC Limited .. till now i working with ITC only in sales division . I worked for food/personal care/stationary divisions and have knowledge of both sales channel- Genetral trade and Modern trade.

Extra cucrricular & promotion

I had 3 promotions in span of 4 yrs.

From Last year years .i am continuously particiapted ITC ANNUAL Star war competiton and represent my branch in CRICKET, DANCE and THEATER.

Certification in Invesvest and portfoloio analysis by NCFM .
