Hi Everyone

Since it's the last day for the R3 application, it makes sense to revive the thread.

I found out from a fellow that INSEAD had less than 300 people admitted in Round 1. In case if Round 2 will be as short then it seems R3 applications stand relatively equal chances. (Given there are over 900 seats).

Also I haven't seen anyone actually going to apply in R3 on this or other forums.

Please respond and share your information on that! :)

Just some update about the movement in the waitlist: start from this week there's a very big movement in the
R1 waitlist and many ppl have been remove from the waitlist and offered a place.
Guess Adcom is trying to fill up the seats before R2 & R3.........

INSEAD's intake size is close to thousand students every year. In other words, each INSEAD class is about 500 students. about 180 were accepted in R1 (Not sure what is the number after latest waitlist move).

If there is a current MBA student, he can share the MBA connect numbers with us...

Hi there, I just got my application done in the wee hours of the morning for R3. So you have company. It will soon be our turn to sweat it out like the R2 folks have been. Happy to share the pain. Cheers...

Hey All!

I sent in my application on July 23rd for R3 intake
If anyone hears from adcom about notifications for completed applications (ie. when they have checked whether they have our official GMAT scores, transcripts, recs, etc. all in), please share.

Would love to know when they start acknowledging receipt of our complete application package.

Also, anyone got stats on how many students admitted for Singapore campus? Breakdown of male/female? Nationality?

Normally there is an equal number of places that are distributed every round so it does not seems very unusual to me that there were 300 admits in Round 1....

apparently there were 10 admits who dropped out. That could be a reason?

Hey!

Its 900 applicants total in a year (incl. both Jan & Sept intake), and approx 450-500 applicants for each intake. So less than 300 applications admitted for Round 1 means more than 50% have been admitted already.

Sure you're right, that sounds like too many..

I will check with the fellow of mine and update you with the numbers. Does anyone else have the current INSEAD admit statistics at hand?

BTW, I received the full package notification today.

However what you're saying is awful.

That clearly makes R3 far more competitive than R1 and R2. And on the school website they say "Competition for each round is relatively equal, so there is generally little advantage to be gained by early application". I would not have applied if I had known such terrible stats.

It's pity they treat people like that by publishing clearly misleading information. :(

I think a lot depends on the number of applicants per round as well. I wonder whether fewer applications are received by the school in successive rounds - that would make the odds work out properly. You're right if the same number of people apply in each round.

Hello all!

Another R3 applicant here. The admit figures seem pretty disheartening for a R3 applicant. and on top of that, the WL candidates are getting the thumbs up too. sighh! don't know if I should be reading too much into that.

Ligett - you say you got the confirmation? When did you send in your application? Anyone else got a 'application package complete mail'? Should I be worried?
Also, my documents reached them on 29th early morning instead of 28th morning as promised by Fed Ex. Think it will be a problem?

I think I'm beginning to become a nervous wreck. Anyone else with me? :-)

It seems that fewer seats are available in R3 but then fewer people apply too. Saw this on a FB group called "INSEAD MBA Admissions" where a lot of people post questions like this, and someone from the Admissions department answers them as and when possible.
