Hey guys,

In R3 I am sure less people get in. In your opinion, is this due to the fact there are less positions left or because there are considerably less good applications cause strong applicants usually submit in R1 and R2?

Also, does anyone know if there are any scholarships available in R3 or are all of them only applicable for R1, R2?

Thanks

gr8Wo,
20% of the funds is reserved for Round 3 candidates.

Thanks pinocchio! Yes the scholarship guide has all the information. I had only looked at the Scholarships section and most deadlines were the 18th of August. But I guess they will soon be updating the dates with R3 dates. This is great news indeed.

The wait is killing me. Apparently there was an issue with the processing of my application fees..
I'm still now waiting for a confirmation that they've received that >.<
They've been helpful throughout.. but it's really worrying me...

The wait? Oh, that ... I was too distracted by the brutal number and length of essays I had to write for those scholarships.

I'm R2, and at this point if I do not get accepted, I think I'll be as upset for having had to write those essays unnecessarily, as for being unable to attend INSEAD.

Who came up with this fantabulous idea of making students apply for scholarships before they get admitted anyway??

It seems like a punishment for applying late

Why doesn't someone add the cool new roll calls like the ones on the Stanford thread which automatically take the profile information and create the roll call information dynamically?

Although, it says that only the following are applicable for R3 candidates:
Need-based scholarships: many of the scholarships in this category will be kept aside for Round 3 applicants.
Louis Franck Scholarship for candidates from the UK
L'Oreal: candidates must demonstrate a capacity for creativity and innovation through diversity and entrepreneurial activity.

That limits R3 candidates to very very few scholarships.

On a sideline, the scholarship registration page says "The web site you are accessing has experienced an unexpected error.
Please contact the website administrator. "

I'm applying for R3 as well.

I still have not received a confirmation for my application. How long does that usually take?

I sent in my r3 app on the last day and got an email within a week. It was to say that the app had been received but they had not received my application fee. Perhaps you may want to call or mail them to ask? They've been really nice and helpful throughout.. =)

Is it true that INSEAD will call up our referees/reccommenders before the final decision? I heard about this through someone else but am quite sure I haven't reas or heard about this before. (in th application form on also has to state the phone number of a work contact and that makes me wonder whether they ever use this)

Gmhdxb to answer you, here are my 2 cents,

as I concluded from the numerous Insead applicants experiences exposed in the forum, the application final study is treated in a roll call process, the shorter the interviews reports are sent to the adcom the first the application is processed and a decision is taken accordingly... So many of us now are already either accepted or dinged or wl.

My side, I had my interviews in July, so according to the theory above my app has been processed and a decision has been taken and the result is listed somewhere on an xls sheet (which I dream to have a look at instead of living this killing wait :| ). Additionally, as far as I know no one of my recommenders has been called or mailed, I am sure they would have told me if called especially that one of them I is my mger with whom I work every day...

My case says that the interviewers aren't called for each application.

IMO, they could be called only in special cases where the adcom is not able to decide about the app, for ex when there is any confusion or doubt about the rec itself, or when a rec is a short one not giving the minimum needed to let the adcm decide, or when there is a difference between the app and the rec...etc...
