Also my coordinator has asked me to schedule the interviews before June 6th. I believe that the admissions committee goes through your whole application again after the interview and hence they need time between the interview and the decision deadline.

I can't wait for all this to be over. I had two dreams about my interviews last night!

I got details for one interviewer today.
From the Jan 2011 posts it looks like most get the decision notification in the last 2 days before the deadline

Posted from my mobile device

Got the details for the second interviewer as well. both in Chicago.

Anyone from London still waiting to hear back regarding the Interviewer details?

I'm based in London and am yet to receive any details from AM B. Not letting it stress me out too much though. I can imagine it's probably quite an undertaking for them to arrange these alumni for so many people, so happy to wait for the time being. :)

I think the adcoms try as much as possible to find interviewers that are somehow related to or know about your experience and/or post-mba goals.
My interviews were very unformal; they however digged pretty deep in the understanding of my job and my post-mba goals.
So apart from the usual, why MBA, why now, why INSEAD, where else did you apply, the challenge was to convince them I knew how I would takle my post mba career. (not so easy when it's just a plan and you hope to get more insights from your MBA). They also asked about my current job (what I do etc etc ...); this part was quite easy.

Hey Guys

Does anyone knows how strict is INSEAD in their 70 percentile in each section of GMAT ?
I just retook my GMAT yesterday and got a 690 (Q50-93%, V34-68%), overall percentile 88%. I also have a Masters in Engineering from US with a pretty high GPA. And yeah, I am one of the most represented profile i.e. Indian/Male/Engineering but have a diverse experience (NON-IT) in Aerospace domain ....

Any comments as to how flexible INSEAD is on the percentile requirement ?

folks,

quick question. how many % of interviewees get accepted? is it more of a data point along with your application or "if you don't screw up" you are in?

also, not many dings reported yet - isn't that a bit strange? i assume either people have been invited to interviewed or dinged?

thoughts?

Spoke to AMB today and she said that the interview details will be going out shortly this week.

Has anyone who has AMB as the co-ordinator received their interview details yet ?

I asked a similar question a while ago but didn't get many responses. From speaking to alumni and reading other threads, I get the impression that around 50% of interviewees are accepted. However, that's across a wide distribution and I'm not sure it's worthwhile saying 'I therefore have a 50/50 chance'. It will vary significantly from candidate to candidate based on the strength of their applications.

I think that there's definitely a selection bias regarding the population on this thread for the following reasons:

- I would guess that people who join this thread, in the first place, are more involved in their application processes and spend more time researching both themselves and their chosen schools - perhaps this makes them slightly stronger candidates - or perhaps they've done all of the research because they're stronger candidates...? (that's the initial population)

- Secondly, look at the number of people who have only joined the thread subsequent to receiving an invite (I think there are quite a few).

- Finally, only a small proportion of people are likely to report their dings on the thread (most probably because they've moved on to other schools/ threads)

I reckon there are a few other factors too, but those above are likely to result in a selection of candidates on this thread that aren't representative of the original applicant pool. Just my two cents worth of speculation, but there might be a bit of truth to it... especially when you look at the acceptance rates on prior INSEAD threads (really high - 70-80%)

Again, interested to hear anyone else's thoughts...

thanks, whitefoord for your inputs - i agree that lesser people would try to report dings, but here it has been even < 5. but yes - would love for people to chime in with their thoughts on this. re: % of invitees accepted - i have heard 50/50 too!
