I disagree with the idea of sending the CV or any other information than what is required. Two reasons. First, you want to retain as much of an informational advantage as possible for a brief meeting. By handing the whole works out (much beyond what INSEAD requires you to) you give more raw material for the interviewer to work with (which is why they are asking you in the first place). The diligent-types may come prepared with more specific questions. I'd rather have a conversation with the person in which I guide him through the course of my progress in words during the interviewer rather than let him/her have the upper hand. Second, you will have more to say during the interview if you don't hand your CV and essays out. If they already have them then you will feel compelled to come up with alternative examples to keep the interview 'original'. These may not be your best answers; else you would have put them in the essays in the first place.
Anyway, thats my take on this and I did not provide the interviewers anything additional.
I sorta agree with MBAji. I brought my resume to the interview and shared it with my interviewers by saying I know INSEAD adcom only asked me to send you 6 pages from my profile but I thought I should also share my resume with you to give you more holistic and please let me know if you have any questions regarding my resume.
If you're going to share your essays, know the content like your life depends on it. Further, be prepared to handle questions if they ask you to tell them about any more failures that you didn't mention in the application, or 3 more weakness, or if you wrote about cultural shock, they can ask you about your country... One interviewer will throw curve balls or doosras (if you're cricket fan) at you. just stay calm and think through your answer before you start speaking. Have a bottle/glass of water next to you and if you need to buy some time, drink some water while you arrange your thoughts before answering.
