I got the invite on the 2nd and the interviewers on the 6th, but again I'm based in a large city so they probably have a bunch of alum. I also got a deadline to complete them by end of May, quick! I wouldn't worry at this point if you're still waiting...also if anyone has VM i think she's ooo until next week.

I'm not Indian but based in India; therefore I have H.S. as my coordinator. Not heard a peep since i got word that my application is complete.

From what I can tell, at all schools that I applied to I am always lumped in with the Indians.

Both. And they represent the largest and most competitive pool of applicants as well.

Indians form the largest pool of applicants as well as certified admits..n i m talking bout Indians based in India..not NRI's or PIO's..if u count em in then u have humongous numbers...desis everywhere!!!

Hi Frnds

I need a piece of advice. I am looking at the possible recommender options for INSEAD: One, I have narrowed down on my previous Supervisor since I cant take reco from my current boss. For the 2nd person, I am in a bit of confusion. In my previous role, I worked with different vendors and with some of whom I had a professional engagement of over 2 yrs. So, Would it be advisable to have the reco from a past vendor?

I am asking this since, as opposed to a client, a vendor is given business by you and hence the adcom might think that they are obligated to write positive about you. So, how would the INSEAD Adcom view a reco from a past vendor? OR I am just thinking too much...

Any inputs would be welcome.

Do they mail informing applicant about the rejection OR no mail simply means that you were not shortlisted for interview?

IMO a LoR frm a past vendor wud fit in very nicely with the reco frm ur super...two sides of the coin..the vendor might write from a wholly different perspective frm what ur super is gonna write..besides INSEAD does not explicitly specify the nature of the recommendors..if i rem correctly they want someone who has had a chance to evaluate u in a professional situation or setting...so its a lil vague..

so go right ahead n get the vendor to write a LoR..its what he/she writes which matters much more than who is writing!
