Wow! So many calls out today... But, all pre-selected for interview... any idea on the difference between pre-selection and selection? Also, we are still to hear from JS, right?

Hi All,

Any idea at what stage is the recommender contacted..? Also, thru phone/email..? My recommender has to go back to India and so would be switching off his phone for couple of weeks.

Thanks,
neerz

Anyone care to handicap our odds? I've read somewhere (using google) that Insead admits about half of those interviewed. Thoughts?

I think they do reply to everyone, at least that's what I've read on other forums.

No further updates from anyone today with SH as the coord. I've reasoned this out to make myself feel better! Doing the math, if every class has close to 500 admits, and 11% are Indians, that means at least 100 should get an interview invite (assuming 50% selection for interviews). So far, less than 10 from India have reported interview invites from India. Question is, historically have less than 10% of the people reported their invites on gc, or is SH not done yet?

HS probably has a lot of emails to write. I would not take it as an entirely negative thing. I wouldn't be surprised if she picks a few applications that she really likes first and gets around to a bunch more later.

Anybody get rejected? No of course not. If you had, then you wouldn't be reading this thread.

With regards to Paris vs Singapore, does anyone know how the offer will look once admitted. On the application I said that I was fine with either location. Will they admit you to a specific one or potentially both (if they really like you)?

I believe they will admit you to a specific one at the start of the program (you may apply to switch for the second part of the program). Which campus you get on has nothing to do with the strength of your profile. It's more about your campus preference (they will try to get you that), availability of spaces on the campuses, and keeping both campuses diverse (nationality, backgrounds etc...).

So half and half is pretty much guaranteed if you want it?

I'm not sure but I believe it is slightly harder to get on the Fontainebleau campus only because there is more demand on it (most people applying want to be on the Fontainebleau campus).
