Both interview asked me this question, and I think answer it well because they satisfy with my answer (or at least that's what I thought) I simply response I want to built a career in Asia, INSEAD has both campus in Europe and Asia, plus U.S school is so U.S focus, and i do not want to work in the U.S in the near future.
I tell them the same, although my CV backs it up in a big way as I haven't spent a spare moment/vacation etc in the US since I was 14 unless I had to be there like school and college. I NEVER want to work in the US. EVER. Too many smart people there already. All the alpha is in Asia, CIS, Africa, and the middleast. Join the party!
One kinda tricky thought that I was given in my interview was that my interviewer told me that, "You don't need an MBA really. You could do what you want to do already given your experience and qualifications."
I told him that was definitely true, however, I thought that an MBA from INSEAD would give me a better network to do it with. Given that I got my current job from an INSEAD alum, I KNOW that i want to be part of this school and its network.
