Don't worry, I suppose that so far they've only sent the invitations to candidates from under-represented regions. The Indian pool is the largest and that's why they need more time to decide. I expect your decisions to be sent after Easter Holidays.

My officer instructed me not to send the essays. Does anyone know if that was the case in previous years? Somehow I feel that the dynamics of the interviews will be affected by the change of topics for the essays. Since there were no specific "Why MBA" question, maybe the emphasis will be exclusively on those areas at the interviews?

Thanks bghost, I sure you are right :-)...

I presume you have been asked not to share your essays with the interviewers as the adcom may have already shared the same with them..Can't think of any other explanation for that

Ok that's reassuring. It makes sense that they would need more time to sort out the Indian applicants.

Also I have Stef Han as a coordinator.

Hi all!

Please help to decide. I've just successfully finished my GMAT mission and haven't even begun to prepare my Insead J2015 application. Assuming that I should waste some time preparing for TOEFL, what do you think about 3 months period until 3rd round deadline? Is it comfort time period for preparing the application? Will I have my chances severely reduced because it's the last round?

Adcoms at INSEAD have said that the chances, everything else equal, of receiving an invitation to participate in the program are the same in all three rounds. I'm not sure if they account for wait-listed applicants, but that aside, I think you should spend a considerable time with essays. They are a pain to do but they also provide a lot of clarity to the adcoms and to yourself about where you have being, are and want to be. Three months is enough if you just have to write the essays and not "think about" the answers. If you still need to do research on INSEAD (or other universities); if you still need to figure out what's your story after INSEAD; and if you still need to connect everything together, then 3 months is not enough I believe
Best of luck!
Cheers!

It's been awfully quiet here..any more applicants got calls/ emails for the interviews? How are the interviews coming along for those who were already shortlisted and intimated?

I haven't gotten any contact info on my interviewers yet, even though I got the invite on the 11th. I will email my coordinator tomorrow, since I think today is still a holiday in Europe.

The same for me. I think they may want to complete pre-selection process first and then send contacts of interviewers.

Why is it 'pre-selected to interview' and not 'selected to interview'?

I got my pre-selection invite too on 22 April. Waiting to hear from SH on the interview details :-)...Anyone know what the probability of getting in is if you are pre-selected (based on previous intakes)?

I have read anywhere from 50-70%, largely from random speculation on this forum.

That's a fairly decent chance I would think....fingers crossed for all of us!
