How does it work now? Does anyone know if we should expect good news before the final deadline? Good luck to everyone!

Based on past threads, admitted applicants start receiving calls 2 days before D-day. Should mean 4th onwards for us.

I completed my two interviews on 13th April and 16th April. Now still waiting for the good news.
The first one was tough, I don't feel that he likes me a lot. He graduated in 2010.
The 2nd interview was with a lady graduated in 2003. It went very well. She told me that she will recommend me at the end. This gave me lots of comfort during this long waiting period.

Bon courage tout le monde!

Finished my interviews. Had one today (MD at equity research shop) and one last week (strategy director at a large media company). There was a definite good cop/bad cop vibe between the two interviews, with the younger strategy guy being very relaxed and the older equity research guy really looking to grill me. Oddly enough, I felt that I fielded everything the research guy threw at me pretty well and was able to have some engaging back-and-forth about my prior experience as a prop trader. On the flip side, I wasn't really able to make a connection with the strategy guy, despite it being a more informal interview.

Three weeks to go!

where are you located? I am from the US as well, in Silicon Valley area, mine was way casual... don't know if it was a good thing or bad thing....... really hard to gauge how well we did in these interviews.

I'm in New York. I'd say casual is definitely good, as long as you feel like you left an impression with the interviewer about who you really are. I wouldn't want to walk out feeling like it was just 30 min of small talk with a couple of "Why INSEAD" and "Why MBAs" thrown in there.

You might get the call/email 4-5 days before the deadline, so I would be refreshing my email account starting on Monday June 2 ;). If you are Indian/Male/IT, then you might get the notification right on the deadline or a tad bit later.

Hey guys quick question: do we places our responses to the Job Essays, in the provided boxes of the downloadable Job Description PDF or separately?
Have any of you been able to upload your essays?
When saved on my comp, the PDF says "you cannot save data on this form". Any one successfully completed this yet?
Have not tried uploading myself but having problems with the Jobs essay PDF as the first question answer box does not do word count. Anyone else with the same problem?
It does let me save the file though

I had the same problem, but saved and uploaded the essay!

Hi,

I just submitted my Insead MBA application for class of 2015D today (R2). Normally, how long does it take to know about interview decisions? Does INSEAD wait till the deadline to get back or is it done before that? Also, if they do decide to interview me, how much time will I have to prepare for the actual interview?

This is what I could gather from past INSEAD threads. For the interview you might get a pre-selection up to two weeks before the deadline, so for round 2 that would be June 13 or later. I think it varies depending how different you are to other candidates and the ability to get the alumni to do the interview (so region/country is a factor as well). Once you are notified of the interviews, they normally ask you to have them no later than two weeks from notification.
Good luck!

Based on past cycles, and as evidenced by threads on this forum, interview calls typically go out a few weeks after the interview deadline.

If you receive an interview call, you'll have plenty of time. They first send you an email notifying you of your pre-selection for interview. A few days later (could take up to a couple of weeks in some cases), they provide you with the names of the interviewers, in sync with whom, you will schedule your interview. Thus, preparation time shouldn't ideally be a concern here. :-)

Good luck!

I got done with both my interviews a couple of weeks ago...both were pretty formal. The interviews were at their respective offices and they asked me a lot of questions around my online application form and CV. Both lasted around an hour. They were both of an IT background and holding senior positions in large IT companies based in Bangalore, India. The second interviewer was nice enough to tell me that he would recommend me [big relief !! :-)]..but I really don't know what the first interviewer's thoughts were. Just have to get through this painful wait! Lol

I finished my interviews very early May (1st May my first, 3rd May my second).....and I've been waiting since.....2 more weeks to go i think......but the waiting is simply killing me.......My experience was very much like good cop/bad cop...i could've been way better at the interviews but i was still pretty good i think. None of the interviewers popped any of the 3Y (Why MBA, Why INSEAD, Why Now) they looked elsewhere in my profile......anyone on MBA connect can give us color on the current admission? any deferred students from last year? Any Lebanese in the House (I'm Lebanese)? The AO Email states "Final Decision 6 Weeks after interview notification" is this the norm or they will keep us all waiting until JUNE :(

Based on older threads for intakes prior to this one, it appears that applicants that belong to a particular region generally hear back around the same time. For instance, applicants from India generally hear back only towards the end of the deadline, ie sometime between 3rd and 6th of June. There might be exceptions to this but the trend seems to be hearing back towards the end of the deadline.

I have been having a lot of trouble with my submitted application. The day I submitted the application, the status in the dashboard said "submitted". I was not able to open my application to view it them. I also got a confirmation email, but it was without the application in the pdf format. The next day when I logged in, the status changed back to "saved". I have been calling and mailing insead ever since to no avail. Did anyone go through the same trouble?
