Hey Guys
I submitted my application for R3 on the last day..and my referee submitted the recommendation 15 mins prior to the deadline on 1st August. Anyhow I have received the mail that my application is complete.
This is my first post on GC and insead and IMD are the only schools I have applied. I spent last three hours reading the 37 page thread. very interesting read.
contrary to what everyone advised me I did the unthinkable and as an Indian male applied in R3. I am just wondering if that just works in favour of ppl like me, instead of diminishing chances. What if everyone thought not to apply believing the ad com has already selected the chosen Indians. Going by the number of posts here ( which may be thoroughly wrong) it seems not many have applied Indians or otherwise R3.
I do think I have a competitive profile and should at least be given a chance at preselected interview.
Does anyone know for sure if the candidates essays or profile is shared with the I alumni taking the interview. I read conflicting findings here. Somebody shared that interview is just to see your fitment with Insead. In another post someone remarked that interview is there to check if you have not lied/inflated/exaggerated about your profile. Any pointers?

So, 1 person from Vietnam got the good news today, and that was it? I hope there's more action tomorrow...
(They are honest INSEAD Alumni...they know that the procedure asks them to go through application only!)
