I feel INSEAD is the right match for me because provides opportunities into Management consulting (my post MBA career plan) for me both in Asia and Europe, where I'd like to work in the future.
Post-MBA goals:
- Short-term: Consultancy with MBB
- Long-term: FAANG (Strategy)
- Geography: Asia (Singapore, India) /Europe (UK, Belgium)/Dubai
Education:
- Bachelors in Biotechnology from IIT Guwahati, GPA 8.5/10 (Class Rank 3/60); Graduated in 2017
Experience
- 2y as an analytics consultant at EXL for a leading US luxury retailer
- 1.5y as a strategy expert at American Express (Current Employment)
- Promoted twice in the last 3.5 yrs of work experience.

Languages
- Fluent in English
- Beginner in French
- Other languages: Fluent in Hindi, Punjabi

1. Ability to contribute
2. Leadership skills
3. International motivation
4. Academics
I see a hint of 2, 3 and 4 in your profile based on whatever you have shared. In order to understand how well you match the first value, which is 'ability to contribute', I would like to understand some examples for the following from you:
1. Impact you have brought with your work
3. What is the cause that you care about and how have you contributed to the same (Your NGO experience should come handy here)
You are applying to a business school that really cares about how aware you are about the real world problems and what you have done beyond themselves to solve the problem. We have recently converted a 670 GMAT to INSEAD, and her Unique Selling Point was the Impact she brought with her work in last 2.5 years.
Your profile looks good on the surface, but with your background and your post MBA goals, you fall under the pool that's ultra-competitive (Most engineers strive to become Consultants post-MBA) and that's why it's super important for you to dig out your USP and frame your story around it. Eventually, it's going to be about how well you bring out your personality on paper and showcase how well it matches the values of INSEAD.

- Currently leading internal strategy team of a small cap company
- No onshore experience, but I helped international companies open their offices in India (including some well known big names)

I would suggest you do good inside-out research on INSEAD and its culture and values to help you highlight how you can contribute to its community and school.
