I am in!!!

I kept seeing nightmares about it all night.
I usually sleep until 9-10, I was up at 6 this morning :)

Now, I have some concerns and I will sincerely appreciate your helps and suggestions.

I was already admitted to HEC and accepted their offer a while ago. I paid the first installment of the tuition (6000 Euros) months ago; my second deposit was due July but the school extended it to September (I was going to pay this part with FAFSA loans and they are not released until September). How can I explain HEC that I will not be attending to the program this fall? Is there anyway for HEC to refund me that 6000 Euros non-refundable first installment?
I can make the INSEAD deposit payment of 10000 Euros but I will need loans for the rest of it. Can I still apply for FAFSA loans?

Please advise!

How come they didn't let you know in the voicemail ?


As for HEC I can be of no help, but I doubt they would give you back the deposit.
However even with a loss of 6000 Euros, I would chose INSEAD without any hesitation; Without the obvious difference in caliber of both school, just the difference in length of both program will make up for the loss of money.

I would appreciate it if u cld please give us the mba connect number incl. Koreans.

For me i got email from the school asking if i still wanna be in the waitlist. I said yes but it has been so quiet.

I am not sure cuz the MBA connect is accessible only to the admitted. I believe you can find that out on the insead homepage.

I am not sure how many number the school is looking, but 501 seems pretty much the final number. A few more drops would help, but chances are pretty much slim as we got only two more weeks before the start of the program.

Besides mitsloan, how many waitlisters are still here?

Good to see you're still around aykay! :) According to the BW thread for last year's Sep intake, most WL candidates got their ding early August - not sure whether to take this as a good sign or not:

I wrote to adcom few days ago and was said that it is unlikely to be accepted. Today I got a ding from LBS with offer to be reviewed for the next year intake. I doubt that there will be positive outcome tomorrow :( On Saturday I fly to Montreal for McGill and tomorrow will pay the tuition

i spoke to my coordinator who wasn't as blunt. realize my chances are slim, but i still have a sliver of hope.

goodluck at mcgill! i did my undergrad there, but would like to venture out to Europe.
