My Profile: M, 27, Chinese-American based in NY 5 years W/E in credit research and trading 3.3 Undergrad GPA (degree in Finance) GRE 89 p-tile Math, 97 p-tile Verbal (no GMAT) Overseas experience limited to study abroad, travel (no work exp) Just a side note - I noticed quite a few people working in finance roles getting waitlisted from the main Jan15 thread.

Just got accpeted !!! Feels great after being waitlisted for over half a year ! Initially since feb for the September intake! Then got waitlisted for the jan intake!

I would be grateful if someone could share if any Indian has been taken off the wait-list? The wait is kind of getting brutal

It's hard to tell if any Indians have been taken off the waitlist from looking at MBAConnect. I guess the only way to know is if someone in this situation comes out here and says so.
For what it's worth, there seems to have been little movement on MBAConnect numbers in the last few days. Total count is 422, with 62 Indians (44M/18F).
I think it's safe to say that those numbers might change a little (and therefore we might see some waitlist movement) after the deposit deadline for R2, on September 16th.
Also, there's the R3 deadline on October 10th, so there's still time to be taken off the waitlist. I've been in similar situation before, so I know it's pointless to say you should remain calm, but at this point there's nothing you can do but hope for the best.

Thanks, bizwiz! I wasnt aware of the statistics for the number of Indians already admitted. I guess with the number of Indians exceeding 10 percent of the class, the chances are less than slim. I don't have my hopes up!

428, down from 431 a couple of days ago.
Note that the deposit deadline was yesterday, but a lot of people had already paid their deposits in advance (including yours truly), and a lot of people had already denied insead's offer. I know of at least two people who were accepted in round 2 and added to mbaconnect, then rejected the offer, were removed from mba connect, and two other people from the same nationality were offered a spot and added to mbaconnect, all before the deadline. So I don't think the process is all that linear, but we might still see some movement over the next few days. It also depends on how many offers they're willing to extend in Round 3 a few days from now.
