I think so. In some applications, they ask you if you have talked to a student or Alumni or Adcom staff. I personally write names as respect to those people. Also this shows how you are keen to know more about the school. However, you need to mention their names in context of something you like about the school and those people confirmed the info or they revealed something interesting about the school. My advise is not just mentioned that you have contacted them.

Yes, i think we can mention, because admission committee is seeing how much effort you are putting to know their college. so they will appreciate.
