Hi RuchirT,

I'm sorry to hear that Test Day did not turn out better. When it comes to studying for the GMAT, there are a variety of different resources that you might use - so it certainly makes sense to be sure that a resource properly 'matches up' with how YOU learn best (and the specifics of your situation). Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) What type of study routine have you been following? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) Have you used any other study materials besides the course that you mentioned? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?

Goals:
4) What is your overall goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

If you took your Official GMAT at a Test Center, then you might also choose to purchase the Enhanced Score Report. While the ESR doesn’t provide a lot of information, there are usually a few data points that we can use to define what went wrong on Test Day (and what you should work on to score higher). If you purchase the ESR, then I'll be happy to analyze it for you.

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Target test prep is a great course for Quant.
Not sure how good the Verbal course is though.
But you can try Gmatwhiz for Verbal.

Hey Guys, I started my GMAT journey this April and went with e-gmat. Studied for about 4-5 months and wrote the exam on 9/1 and ended up with an abysmal score. I absolutely hated the way e-gmat went about solving quant it was tedious and involved a lot of unnecessary calculations. I wanted to start prepping again to give another official test in December. Would TTP be a good choice? I've heard great stuff about the super methodical way in which the course is structured. I want to be extremely sure of the tutoring I take this time around given my bad experience the first time.

Hi Amy74,

While looking for a course there's the obvious factors that one looks for - cost, content and teachers. But I'd recommend that you look for some other factors as well.

1. Look for a course that not only teaches you concepts but also teaches you the application of these concepts. GMAT is a test of application skills and as such this is a crucial factor. A course that teaches you a structured way of solving questions is very important if you want to score 700+.

2. It should provide you with a clear and structured study plan. Your focus should be only on learning and not struggling with what and how to study. Look for a course that provides you with the guidance for the same.

3. It should give you detailed feedback on your performance and show you exactly where you can improve

The best way to decide is by checking out the free trial offered by most prep companies and also going through the verified reviews.

I would recommend that you check out the free trial of GMATWhiz. It provides an AI powered learning platform that comes with a comprehensive amount of content and an integrated study plan that is completely personalized for you. Furthermore, the platform provides real time insights on your performance, highlighting your strengths and weaknesses while providing a road map to improvement. You can do that here ->

Answer is definitely YES,.
TTP, ExpertsGlobal and Empower GMAT are definitely better than others.
(Won't comment on Veritas Prep and Manhattan prep, as I have never taken those nor any trial.
Please spend2-3 weeks in deeply exploring those courses (free trials) before actually beginning the preparation.

Hi Amy74.

One thing I think would help you is to wait to take your next GMAT until you've confirmed that you'll hit your score goal by scoring around your goal level on at least one and preferably two practice tests. All too often, people waste time, money, and their 8 opportunities to take the GMAT when they're not really ready to hit their score goals.

I think TTP's verbal course is the best in the world as I have used it. The best thing about TTP is that it has MartyTargetTestPrep who is the only tutor with gmat club verified 800 scores, and who answers queries of clubbers sincerely. He is the designer of the TTP verbal course, so it is up to the mark in every way.

Thanks!

Short answer is yes . The most beautiful part of TTP course is the development of approach and the application skills it endorse for GMAT for both Quant and Verbal (Not RC) in its curricula through plenty of quizzes, concept builder and tests.

I am on my 4th week into TTP. I can’t emphasise more that TTP is a gamechanger. Quant is fab and by the time you finish all tests of a particular topic you would have mastered every concept.

Sentence correction is extremely detailed. Builds strong foundation of concepts. I strongly recommend you to go for the trial and then decide.

I have observe that, TTP'S tutors are very active on these forum. So when I request them to solve a problem, they earnestly help. TTP has good contribution on this forum as I have found its explanation to OG problems are easy to catch. MartyTargetTestPrep is second to none for offering verbal help and test strategy.

TTP Quant course is very good, but for me, as a non native english speaker, I find the verbal course very useful.
practice tests are very good and cab be tailored as per the test takers requirement. You can try yourself by enrolling for 5 days trail by paying 1$.

yes, TTP absolutely worth it, they have a very comprehensive and organized curriculum, it will help you track your errors as well as how your performance is improving in each Quant or Verbal chapter. I have tried both E-GMAT and TTP, things in E-GMAT were kinda messy and I felt lost, but with TTP i felt like I am really Improving and learning new strategies and concepts.
