Is v−w > x−y?

STATEMENT (1) v>x and w<y
v>x and y>w

v+y>x+w
v-w>x-y (rearranging the inequalities)
--Is v−w > x−y? YES
SUFFICIENT

STATEMENT (2) w<v and x<y
v>w and y>x

v+y>w+x
v-w>x-y (rearranging the inequalities)
--Is v−w > x−y? YES
SUFFICIENT

Is v - w > x - y?

(1) v > x and w < y

(2) w < v and x < y

Ans) is v-x>w-y

evaluating A

1) v-x>0 and w-y<0

therefore v-x>w-y

2)w<v and x<y
x-y<0 and v-w>0

therefore v-w>x-y
