Hi atulchitanvis , your profile does not seemingly have any weak points, but it does not have any exceptional aspects either. Here are 3 points you should address very carefully in your application
1. What problem or situation that you experienced in your current role or previously motivated you to explore a career in product mgt/consulting.
2. With about only 2 years of experience, why do you think this is the right time to join ISB, where the average experience in number of years is higher?
3. How do you differentiate yourself from the pool of applicants applying with fewer years of work experience. Your startup experience can add value here but the narrative better be strong and logical.

Suggest you target an upwards of 730 in GMAT.

If you wish to seek professional guidance do reach out.

Best wishes

Hi AspirantSC, your profile looks good to me. You should have a fair shot with a high GMAT, which is a key factor for ISB.

Hello atulchitanvis,

Hope this finds you well.

You have a fine overall profile and the start-up experience will definitely add value. The GMAT is what you need to focus on at this point and a score upwards of 720 should be a competitive one. However, what we find a bit concerning are your career goals because they are a bit all over the place and you need to narrow down on goals that sync well with your existing profile.

Needless to say, once the GMAT is out of the way and the goals are defined, you will need to work on a set of essays that focus on the strengths in your story and articulate a logical trajectory.

Should you feel the need for a detailed discussion, please feel free to get in touch with us.

All the best!

Hi,
I applied at R3 EEO.
can someone evaluate my profile?
I applied with GRE score of 329.Im a computer engineer from pune university First Class. After that, I did 3 months of internship in IT. I was vice president of Astronomy club in my engineering college. Also, I was publicity head of Technical Festival of my college.
I pass out in 2018.
After that, I did MBA from UK, with distinction. I was Course Representative of my University of West London (UWL), for MBA.
I tried to get sponsorship in UK but due to pandemic, I came back.
Currently working in CITCO as Investor Relations Administrator. It's a basically Analytics Job.
I got 89% in 10th.
In 12th 77%.
I have state ranks in many school level scholarship exams like NSTSE, MTSE, IPM and all.
During high school, I was also a part of Project based learning IBT (introduction to basic Technology).
My long term goal is to work in the field of corporate finance which is relevant to my current job. I'm also planning to perceive CFA.
Also, did some finance related certification courses from imarticus and Edupristine.

I wrote my ISB essays very well.
Will my international MBA degree will help me to get a call?
What are my chances to get a call for the interview?
Thank you.

Hi yashpcr7 , as you have been waitlisted, I would be happy to take a look at your ISB application and point out potential improvement areas. Your success in any B School application is not only dependent on your career trajectory but also on overall narrative, future goals, leadership potential and progression pattern over the years, and uniqueness factor in your profile. Whether you have addressed these factors conscientiously in your application or not, I can only tell after reviewing your application.

If you would like a detailed feedback (no charges) do reach out.

Regards

Hi gauravabc123 , decent profile, good chances if the application is presented sharply.

A couple of inputs on how to present yourself

1. Show how you have grown at Mahindra R&D over 5+ years from being an individual contributor to a capable and strong project manager. Give examples demonstrating growth trajectory and year on year incremental leadership responsibilities.
Convey through your narrative how your contribution was absolutely crucial for the product lines you were responsible for, and quantify the impact you generated for business. Would be nice to present a thorough involvement on work-front explaining how you lead market research, product design, prototype testing and production rollout.

2. It would be interesting to give a glimpse of your startup idea in your application, but more than merely presenting the idea show what you have done in the last 2 years to research and plan for the upcoming launch. Bringing forth insights from discussions you may have had with some ISB alums or notable business personalities around your idea could bring in a deep sense of engagement.

Your ECs seem a little dated therefore you could leverage your startup work to compensate for the lack of community involvement.

Definitely target for a high GMAT score.
If you wish to seek professional guidance on your application strategy once you have your GMAT score, do reach out.

Regards

overall profile seems good , but whats important to understand by work ex is what value addition did you happen to bring to your organization , did you have any promotions / awards / recognition during your work ex..
alongside you also need to work on application from point of view of making the adcom realise that why you would a good fit for the program , for gmat anything over 700 is a good safe score for ISB considering you submit a solid application / essays etc.
wish you the best

Hi Agrim07 , my humble opinion is that you should target a good GMAT score (think 730+) to make up for your mediocre academics. You must also understand that getting an ISB admit depends on numerous factors such as the effort you put into writing your essays, your career progression over the years, exceptional leadership skills, extra curriculars and community initiatives, ability to contribute to peer to peer learning, and careful deliberation over future vision and objectives. From the brief you shared about yourself, it would not be possible to determine the uniqueness of your candidacy and therefore suggest a safe GMAT score.

If you wish to seek professional guidance on your application strategy for top B Schools, do reach out.

Warm regards

Hi,

I have scored 306 in GRE (Q-159 and V-147). I have work experience of 11 months in a startup as a business analyst.
My academics:
10th board: 10 CGPA (CBSE)
12th board: 98.7% (state board)
Btech: 7.77/10 (ECE)

I won in several national-level competitions which were conducted by top-notch organizations in India like the IIT Bombay, IIM Rohtak, etc. I have about 6 national-level awards and 1 research paper. I also have 5 to 6 volunteering activities. Would you rate my chances of getting admitted into ISB through the Early entry option?
Hi capamerica0111, unfortunately, this GRE score is not going to take you places.

Try to aim around 20 points more than your current score.

Ashish.

Hello Everyone!
Request all to kindly review my profile for the ISB PGP application:
10th - 10/10(CGPA)
12th - 94.6%
Under Graduation - 8.35/10 B.Tech(CSE) from NIT Jalandhar
GRE - 319(Q-167,V-152, AW-3)
Hi risharora, unfortunately your GRE score is on the lower side.

Try to push up your score by at least 6-7 points, for more realistic shot at ISB.

Hello yashpcr7,

Thanks for writing in.

We will need to go through your application, especially your projected career goals as well as your story to really provide you feedback on what could have been done better.

Any role that involves greater leadership, challenges would be beneficial as the same will showcase progression as well as allow you to include further talking points in your application.

All the best!
