Hi Johnson applicants! FYI if you're applying to Johnson through the Consortium Graduate Study in Management (CGSM), hop over to the Consortium 2012 Forum and Update Your Profile to join the Consortium roll call.

It's simple. Just select your school as "Consortium, the", then indicate which specific institution(s) you'll be applying to, make sure your application cycle is 2011-2012 and the Consortium round (CGSM1 or CGSM2) you be applied in. You can do all of this easily through the handy 'Add to Your Schools' link on the front page of the Consortium 2012 Forum.

We have a special analytics specifically for those candidates applying via Consortium and lots of conversation specific to Consortium candidates and the school(s) they are applying to.

Come and join the conversation! Cheers!

Wow, 44% admit rate in R1! GMATClub is on fire!

wou 45% admit rate!

Yes it may speak about how strong the gmat club applicants are OR
given the fact that CMATClub's admit rates for other schools are closer to school's average rates, high admit rate at Cornell may speak about less selectivity which was probably caused by lower number of applicants.

Let us see what would be the yield rate at Cornell. I gues it would be way below 50%. Why?

Many of folks admitted to Cornell also applied to other schools and I guess that for at least 50% of them Cornell was a safety school (for me as well last year). So I belive that Cornel's yield rate would be around 50% or even lower.

Hey All -

Long time lurker here. All of your posts and insight have really helped me remain sane throughout this whole process, so i figured it only right to contribute as best I can.

I'm a Consortium rd 1 Applicant. Received a call from Johnson last Friday with an IN. Really excited about attending Cornell!! I love everything about that place. Can't wait to meet all of the other member of the Class of 2014.

Brief profile of me - Sub 700 GMAT and roughly 3.0 GPA with amost 6 years of work experience.

I havent received my admit package yet, but had some questions for anyone else admitted to Johnson. Its about the Scholarship weekend. Is the "Scholarship weekend" the same as one of the Park finalists weekend? Does being invited to one of these weekends guarantee that you'll be receiving soem financial aid? And lastly, what's the deal with these weekends? Are you competing for a Park fellow, or have they already determined who receives the scholarship? If competing, how many people are you roughly up against and what does the competition consist of?

Thanks in advance for any help. I'd be happy to in turn answer anyones questions.

The GMATClub 80% range for Johnson applicants was 680-750. Since Johnson's GMAT avg (not median) hovers below 700 I am inclined to think that the GMATclub is on fire and that PTK is a douche.

Hi everyone,

Seems like the interview invites for R2 applicants have slowed down dramatically - nowhere close to R1's trend. Has anyone heard back from Admissions as to when we can expect interview invites to continue to roll out until?

Just seems like it won't be too much longer before we starting seeing interview invites being given out to R3 applicants. Am starting to get a little antsy.

Thanks!

well im not sure what the deadline is, but the round 1 offer acceptance/deposit deadline is 1/30/12 or so. maybe if people turn down offers, they'll start interviewing some more candidates.

this is purely speculation on my part, but sounds reasonable

Round 2 decision date is 28 Feb. 2012. So may be, we will see more invites in first week of Feb.

I think we'd see some interview activity in Feb first week, after the R3 deadline and the R1 acceptance deadline (fingers crossed). Whats the final count of R2 applicants with an interview / admit?

Brighter Future for Johnson Business School

It is almost confirmed that Johnson Business School is moving to NYC because of the NYC Tech Campus. Mayor Michael Bloomberg has selected Cornell to realize his vision for a cutting-edge NYC Tech Campus that will serve as a global magnet for tech talent and entrepreneurship. There's also a new dean from INSEAD who will play a major role in expanding Johnson to NYC. Try Cornell.EDU/NYC or Cornell Daily Sun for more info.

We doubt if Johnson FT MBA will be completely moving to NYC campus any soon. At the most, the school may initially start offering its executive MBA program from NYC, and only later, may try to leverage the NYC location for its full time MBA program. The campus itself will take some time to come up. However, Johnson's new dean Dutta seems to have some plan for using the tech campus location at Roosevelt Island, so keep your fingers crossed.
