according to last year's thread, some of the interviewers will have both resume and review committee's notes at hand during the interview. is it the same this year? do they specifically mention that they have a review note from the adcom?

The adcom member said she had notes from my application but didn't review my app.

You can actually stay right on campus at the Statler, however it can be pricey.

There's also a Best Western not far away from campus and then there's a few places in downtown including a Hilton. The most budget friendly however I think is the Super 8 near the Wegmans however it's a little ways from campus and it'd probably be best if you had a car. I'd say try for the Hilton because it's downtown and very close to the commons and so you can walk around and check out that area while you're in town. It'll probably give you a good glimpse of life in Ithaca.

I actually did AirBnb, which was cheaper and much nicer than any of the hotel/motel options in the area. I highly recommend

Good Luck! I thought that essay was a fun and unique essay compared to a lot of the other "typical" b-school essays. It also gave me a great opportunity to showcase who I really am and let me be more creative.

I actually found the character limit just right on that one and the others for the Johnson application.

Let us know how it goes!

I will try the contacts that you provided.

Any updates?

Yes! I was able to get in touch with Eddie before the holiday, and he helped me get everything straightened out. I'll be interviewing in Ithaca this week. Thank you for the advice!

Yea it's a shame because it was looking like it would break top 10!

Interesting enough, if you look, all top 10 stayed in the top 10. The top 20 stayed within the top 20, and the top 25 stayed within the top 25.

Just had my interview yesterday with a 2nd year student. It was really casual and conversational - to the point that I didn't even know if I said what I needed to say... Oh well. All questions are vey standard - walk through your resume, why MBA, why Johnson, an example of problem solving at your work and some small questions on my resume.

Thank you everyone on this thread along the way and hope we all will see each other next year! Good Luck!!

I interviewed yesterday. Great experience. I really enjoyed speaking with the current students and alumni. As far as the questions, they have pretty much all been covered accurately in this thread.

In case anyone is curious, the admissions office said they would be sending notifications via email or online portal, no calls on dev 17.

Found this on Twitter. The admissions office said they would call admitted students. I'm not sure where you got the opposite information. :?:

Wow, nice find. I asked a lady at the admissions office desk while I was waiting. I think (and hope) you're correct!

When I had my interview in London this past week, I was told that the admissions office would call the admitted students between 16th and 19th.. But I guess it doesn't matter whether a call or an e-mail! As long as we all get in :) Good Luck Everyone...
