For me I think Johnson is now my "top choice" after getting dings from CBS and Sloan. Although many would take this as me stating that I would be "settling" for Johnson if I am fortunate enough to get admitted, I knew that my profile for those schools was not the strongest and I am still extremely happy to have even made it this far.

Of the remaining schools in the running for me, I think Johnson is 100% in the lead. A top school with many great attributes including a tight-knit community of extremely intelligent people and the "Ivy-League" brand behind it!

On another side note: Who here has heard a reply to their "Thank You"?

I heard a reply from Tepper within a half hour of writing it (had a really great interview), heard a reply from Kellogg interviewer almost 2 months later however it was short and kind. Haven't heard anything from my Johnson interviewer... Might be a bad sign...

Very glad that I am not the only one thinking about the reply. To me, I heard back from all the 2nd-year student interviewers and none from the adcom members.
However, for 2 no-reply-for "Thank You"-schools, one admit and the other, I was recently contacted by an alum, who shares a lot in common with me in terms of pre & post MBA things and offered help for networking in my industry.
It's difficult for me to draw any conclusion. Anybody have similar experience?
Anyway. good luck to you all!

I didn't get a reply either but I asked some current students and they said they are all busy with the finals - don't stress too much about it! :)

Well, looks like based on last year's thread, calls should come in just about a week from now...

Johnson's answer to a question regarding how many days before the notification date they usually start calling/call admits

This. Don't worry about it. We are all extremely busy right now - plus some people won't respond no matter how it went... This advice applies beyond MBA admissions. Always send a thank you note, never expect a reply. If you get one, it means literally nothing. If you do not get one, it means literally nothing.

Good luck everyone. I'm excited to hear who will be joining us next year!

PS - no insider info; don't PM me with questions related to the admissions process :D

I believe wait listed candidates will be reviewed again with R2 candidates and then only an invite will be sent.

I calculated an estimate a while back of about 60%-70% based on a 22% acceptance. https://gmatclub.com/forum/johnson-cornell-class-of-2017-calling-all-applicants-172804-220.html#p1438684

Same here buddy. Won't really know for another couple of days...

But I guess to help keep the faith:
Christine Sneva
The interview really can be a great way for us to get to know somebody, and assess that fit. But also, remember, it's only 30, maybe 40 minutes, so we can't have a two-hour interview or a day's worth of interviews where you want to really try to get to know someone. So that's where other pieces in the application really come in and are really also very important.
https://www.accepted.com/chat/transcripts/2012/cornelljohnson.aspx

As I've heard from a lot of other people the interview can be viewed as another "data point" that they look at during their "holistic" approach to evaluating applicants. [Anyone else hear those two words from admissions officers a million times? ]
