dtse86 and alwayswaiting, Thanks a ton for the responses. Unfortunately, I wouldn't have had time to get from the mall to campus in time for the interview based on the time the mall opened. I ended up going to Benjamin Peter's, and they were very helpful.

Thanks again

You're quite welcome. Hope the interview went well!

I'm still waiting for my invites too. I specified on my app that I was gonna retake the gmat. Could that had caused the delay?

Why would you retake the GMAT after a 740? No need after that score...

Oh 740 is my score from last week. My previous scores are right at johnson's mean, and i have low undergrad grades to make up for. Congrats on your Jones admission. It'd be awesome if you can PM my to share your success story. I wanted to apply to jones too but didn't have time to get to the optional 90 sec video.

Hi guys,
I'm an Indian applicant and received an invite on Friday the 13th.
However, the invite doesn't mention about interviews over Skype.
Would I now have to travel all the way to Ithaca/London or are there alternatives??

Thanks.

Sometimes the MBA journey is a multi-year ordeal. I applied to my first school in January of 2014 and didn't get my first interview invite until last month. I know it sucks watching everyone else get invites and admits, but eventually you'll get something. That might mean talking to schools about the perceived weakness of your application, then taking a year to strengthen your story or application. I am pretty confident that my downfall was a lack of work experience and I had not yet solidified my story. I was 0/3 before January this year, and now in R2 alone I've got 1 admit with money and a pair of interview invites out of the 4 schools I applied to. Keep your spirits up and try again if that's what you need to do.

Also, there is still time to get invites. Don't give up hope until the end.

Thanks! Reading something like this helps a lot of us applying for the first time ease into this tough waiting period. Hope to read more on how you solidified your story.. may be once you matriculate and have some time, throw in a post :)

This really helped. Especially since I'm in a similar situation as you were a year ago - applying for the first time/0 out of 3 invites so far/waiting on 2 other schools.

I really hope I get some good news soon but even if I don't, reading posts such as yours helps me mentally condition myself for the long haul.

Thank you!

Keep your heads up my friends!! Without last whistle, you are still in game..

I was not expecting an invite with my poor gmat score but it seems that life likes to make such surprises! You still have plenty of time to be invited! Dont lose your hope..

Try calling today or tomorrow. Also, check your spam folder. A lot of the admissions emails gets automatically filtered into spam because I think they've been sending the invites through an automated system.

Nothing in spam folder. Sent an email to the admissions office. If no response by noon tomorrow I will call.

Kind of bummed that this weekend will be the last home ice hockey games of the year. Was hoping I could arrange an interview to coincide with a game.

To anyone who will be in Ithaca Friday or Saturday evenings: Try and get tickets to the men's ice hockey game. It will be well worth your time.

Hi everyone, I received an interview invitation last Thursday and was asked to provide my top three preferred dates for the interview. I replied the emailed right way but until now I have not received any confirmation from the school. Is this normal? For those who've been invited to an interview, how long did it it for you guys to schedule the interview with admission office?

It took approx. three days to get a reply. If I were you, I would drop a gentle nudge or call them directly.
