Is it better to park on the street in Collegetown or go to the parking garage?

Parking on the street is a crapshoot. Especially if you're trying to get to Sage on time. There's a parking garage in Collegetown (Dryden Rd) that charges $1.00/hr, and there's also a parking lot on campus near willard straight hall that charges $3.00/hr. Other option is to park on the ground level of the garage near the football stadium. That isn't metered anymore and it's a free-for-all.

Check this stuff out on GoogleMaps, it'll give you an idea of how far you'll be from Sage in March of the Penguins weather.

Looks like I'll be heading to Ithaca on Wednesday. Think I'll need to pack the snowshoes to traverse campus?
We can expect pictures on your return then? Bonus points if you spot a group playing soccer at Ithaca as well

Has anyone who replied to the interview invite gotten a reply back yet? I'm still waiting for Heather to reply :(

Guys, I am invited to interview and my invitation only informs me to choose between Ithaca or London. I wonder if Skype is not an option?

There should be a skype option. If I were you , I would send an e-mail and request it..

It definitely is but I think as a first option, they'd rather interview you in person.

It clearly says on the Johnson website that Skype is allowed.
https://www.johnson.cornell.edu/Full-Time-MBA/Admissions

I would just reply to them and say you're requesting for a Skype interview.

They didn't mention anything about Skype in my email too. But I requested for a Skype interview and recieved one. So you just have to ask.

hi guys, is there anyone who would like to choose Skype interview
do you think there would be any bias
thanks

I think by the mere fact that they did not mention Skype in the cover email indicates a strong preference for on-campus. With that said, if you're an international candidate I think they'd understand.

We'll see if I have time to get out and about while I am there. I will do what I can.

I can tell you with almost certainty that I am going to pay homage to either the Dairy Bar or Purity Ice Cream, regardless of the cold and snow.

My invite says "to balance the volume of interview requests, we are staggering the invitation process over the next week. You should expect an email with instructions in the next week."

I'm interviewing at another school back in the region next week, should I call them and see if I can do it next week or should I wait patiently for the email?

Definitely email or call them. I would bet they have an open time slot that they could fit you in.

Right. But the $35 ticket I got for assuming it was "free-for-all" says otherwise. As I was told after, one has to get a day permit (from the welcome/visitors booths) to park on the ground level of the garage.

I'm interviewing mid March. For those of you who have experienced east coast weather, or currently in the New York area, is it OK to drive from LaGardia to Cornell? My girlfriend wants to make a mini-vacation out of it and visit New York. I know you all have been hit with a pretty bad storm as of late. Will the roads be open? Thanks in advance!

Haha - whoops. I hope a day permit is less than $35! :-D
