since in the premises it is written, :the companies that mine diamonds restrict the num of diamonds....", so assuming that supply will be artificially restricted, challenges the premises itself, so we are neglecting this assumption

You are close. Though if you read the last like of the paragraph that is the conclusion of that paragraph. Which says that companies will be able to artificially controlling the supply to control pricing in the market.

Now coming to A: it says that doesn’t matter if companies are managing the supply.... Demand itself is going to be so high that prices will stabilize

So if this is the assumption on which conclusion depends then the conclusion itself doesn’t make sense.

The unemployment rate in Catunah was greater than 10 percent for years. Then, in an effort to increase employment, the government started offering free work skills training to unemployed people. Since then, the unemployment rate has decreased to around 7 percent. These results provide evidence that helping people to acquire work skills facilitates their finding employment.

Which of the following is an assumption necessary for arriving at the above conclusion?

a) The government of Catunah will continue to offer free work skills training until the unemployment rate is at what is considered a normal level, 6 percent.

b) The training offered by the government was designed to help people acquire key skills required for working at certain types of companies located in Catunah.

c) The reason the unemployment rate in Catunah decreased is that many unemployed people left to find work in other countries.

d) Some people who received the work skills training offered by the government of Catunah subsequently found employment.

e) The unemployment rate in Catunah will decrease further if the government continues to offer free work skills training.

Answer: (d)
but, option (c) also makes sense? why should we eliminate (c)?

Answer C would actually weaken the argument as it’s saying that the reason why the rate decreased is not tied with the training but with something else, in this case we’re looking for the assumption we’re not trying to weaken the argument

how could you assume that people left Catunah based on what the paragraph is saying?

The boom in the freshly brewed tea business in Krztanza will end when the consumer learns that a serving of Krztanzian style freshly brewed tea often contains an amount of caffeine equivalent to that in up to eight cans of a popular energy drink and has as many calories as does an entire meal. Packaged tea contains less caffeine and has fewer calories than does Krztanzian style freshly brewed tea and is available in most grocery stores and even in many stores where freshly brewed coffee is sold.

Which of the following is an assumption upon which the argument depends?

1)Consumers in Krztanza do not mind high levels of caffeine and high calorie counts in their freshly brewed coffee.
2) Although Krztanzian style freshly brewed tea is less healthy than packaged tea, it has become very popular.

In order to reduce the number of vehicles traveling over the speed limit, the Town of Commerce recently installed on its highways automated cameras that detect speeding vehicles. While the cameras cannot detect speeding vehicles at night, since the introduction of the cameras, the number of speeding vehicles detected each day by the cameras has sharply declined. Clearly, the presence of the cameras is deterring from speeding those drivers who would otherwise speed.

If we negate (e), we will get
The population of the Town of Commerce has significantly increased over the period of time since the cameras to detect speeding vehicles were installed.
->This will lead to increase in vehicles, so there might be increase in speedy vehicles also, and in our conclusion it is told that there is decreament in speedy vehicles.
so if this statement is not true, then our conclusion is falling apart.
Therefore this option should also be an assumption.

It’s an overstretch to think that increase in population will lead to increase in vehicle and that will lead to increase in speedy vehicle. In the argument there is no mention of a correlation of population and vehicles overspeeding. GMAT would never expect you to overstretch. Additionally, in your explanation itself you have mentioned that it ’might’ lead to increase in overspeeding. So there is a possibility that it might not. Therefore, it won’t hurt the argument. An assumption would definitely hurt the argument.
