I have some sources. But you don’t need the subscription to go through some daily editorials. Just give it a try.

What subscription package did you use for NY times? I’m still planning to give GMAT a shot by end of the month though doubtful I might get the score I asm seeking for
I would still recommend finding an interesting fiction book that’s classic something from 70 or 100 years ago … Fitzgerald, Steinbeck, Do a few more recent books can work well too. The advantage of the book is when you get into it, you can’t put it down and you stay engrossed in it. You read it instead of watching YouTube or missing on the Instagram. I dialed you achieve anything close to that reading editorials. The goal is not to read boring things but rather Train your mind for extensive reading . I have to say though removal of sentence correction makes reading less valuable for the verbal section….

However, I do subscribe to New York Times. They have a lot of trial offers. I think I pay a dollar a week or $.50 a week. Much is subscribe and you cancel, they give you a better offer during the cancellation process.

Hi recommend New York Times and Wall Street Journal. Both of them have special subscription deals that are fairly inexpensive or you can get Apple news which may have some of those ….

However, if test is very near like within a week then going through NY times isn’t gonna make that much a difference. I am doing it for months. You need at least 20 + or - days if you ask me to get a hang of it.

Yup. I read a lil too much in my everyday tbh. Infact I stopped reading for GMAT cause of how engrossed I get but books and my Kobo (its Kindle’s competitor) are always with me.

Thanks BB. I think I am gonna take the gist of your input and come up with a plan that is effective for me. I saw this msg when I woke up and I may have an idea of something I could put together to help me. Hopefully.

What is the main purpose of the author in writing the passage? Hi guys, I was wondering if you can share some tips for me. For a typical question above, I still struggle if the options offer "to criticise..." what element would you consider that the passage is criticising something?
Main purpose is the main idea is basically what we look at the big picture of the passage. If you need further notes on this. You can send me a private chat msg.

Emily Dickinson’s letters to Susan Huntington Dickinson, which were written over a period beginning a few years before Susan’s marriage to Emily’s brother and ending shortly before Emily’s death in 1886, outnumber her letters to anyone else.

This is a correct answer to one of the official gmat questions.
What does "her" in the last part refer to?

Can it grammatically refer to Emily since only "Emily’s letters" is used in the sentence and not "Emily" itself

Main Clause - Emily Dickinson’s letters to Susan Huntington Dickinson outnumber her letters to anyone else. Now here it only makes sense to say Emily’s letters to anyone else.

Yes it grammatically can refer back to Emily since "her" is a possessive pronoun. But remember subject pronoun such as I, you, he , she or it can’t do this.

I will tell you guys one secret that has helped me a lot. From more than 4-5 months I have never missed editorials from New York times and The Hindu. After reading a particular topic I list down the heading, intent of the author, conclusion and the assumption. And almost everyday I write down 5 unfamiliar words in my notebook and their meaning ( as a noun or as a verb). This may sound very boring or tiresome but once you form a habit its easy. It will also help you in your upcoming MBA journey :-)
did you purchase any subscription for the Hindu?

Hi,
I am trying to understand the concepts of CR in verbal for the first time.. i see statements containing "all else equal".. I am unable to understand it.. one of the sample example statement is "a logical implication is what we would expect to result from a set of facts or conditions, all else equal".. can anyone please explain me this part of "all else equal" in that..?
