If I could make a request, do pop in once in a while once you are done with GMAT. I think more than having you as a go-to person, its the genuineness you exude that just allows the most stressed and worried person to know that they have someone around.

Thank you for taking care of all our vulnerable sides.

As I told you "which" is used to modify only things ( never people) and it can act as both essential and non essential modifier. So in GMAT according to my knowledge "which" is never used to refer a clause but rather things only.
Sorry, I even admire your contributions. But I have a query regarding relative pronoun "which". As you mentioned in your post that "which" can act as both essential and non-essential modifier. But as far as my knowledge is concerned if relative clause is restrictive the correct pronoun to use is "that" and if the clause is non-restrictive then the correct pronoun to use is "which" . Right?

It’s not necessary to use "that" for restrictive clause every time. Ex: The girl who lives next door gives literal chills. Here the modifier is "who"

See I am not a grammar expert here, I try to use minimum grammar as possible. The way I solve sentence correction is more kind of a logical and meaning based.

That’s ok . I totally agree with this part that it is not necessary to use relative pronoun "that".

I had asked this ques to you as mentioned in your previous posts that you had used many online courses so you may be a better person to comment on it. Well, I am just using TTP course and it has mentioned in the modifier chapter "that" is used for restrictive clause and "which" is used for non restrictive clause. Thank you so much for your opinion. All the best for your test!

What’s the difference between a restrictive clause and a non restrictive clause?

Here in this sentence we are using "that" because restrictive clause restricts the meaning of the noun that it modifies whereas non-restrictive clause adds information to the sentence but it’s not essential.

A restrictive clause restricts the meaning of a noun that the restrictive relative clause modifies but the non restrictive clause does not restricts the meaning of the noun that it modifies. Hope that makes sense!

Nope. It’s not because sentence would be incomplete if delete the description after the realtive pronoun "That". So, it’s a restrictive clause.

Plant earth that is one of the 7 planets in our solar system is home to many living beings : This sentence essentially implies that there are many planet earths but author seems to be taking about one specific earth ( out of many) . This is absurd. So, we need commas and which clause.

So here we use: Planet earth, which is one of the ...... . I hope you got the point.

That’s what I said meaning wise or grammar wise that sentence is not correct. we need which clause there to introduce a non essential modifier.

Is the comma absolutely necessary or can it be omitted?

A cookie can be a record of your last visit to a site, including information such as your user name, time of last visit, etc.
In this sentence, what is the role of the verb-ing modifier? What is it modifying exactly?

"Including" doesn’t follow the typical verbing word, which always presents action when presented with comma. It is a versatile verbing word which is usually seperated by a comma and may modify nouns. So in the sentence above you have written, including is just telling you different types of "record of your last visit".
