Hi
I am solving RC’s and most of the time I am getting inference based and primary purpose of the passage questions wrong. I need help to understand how can I get the right answer.

Is there any videos which can help me understand.

The problem with inference based and primary purpose questions is that it is of pure logic. In my opinion if you pay attention to the message given between the lines, read and focus only on the author’s opinion you will be able to actually get them right. Dont get stuck or give attention to the details in the passage beacuse you dot have yo memorise it just focus on the message

These are the two videos that helped me the most to gain control in rc

Hi everyone,

I’m using the e-GMAT course to prepare for my GMAT.

I’m finding it very difficult to identify the assumption in CR questions using the negation technique.
Although after going through the options I end up marking the correct one, the whole strategy of Identifying assumption by negation is difficult

Understanding Passage -> Identifying Conclusion -> Negating Conclusion -> Based on it identifying the assumption

I can conclude comfortably, but the problem comes in negating the conclusion further. In some cases, I negate it correctly but in others I’m unable to do so.
Identifying assumptions based on negation is very challenging, I just go blank during it.

Any suggestions, help, or resources for this would be appreciated.

Negation of conclusion is not required every time. Find conclusion, stick to it, see the reasoning behind and before going to choices try and think what can be the assumption. CAUTION: that pre thought assumption may not be in the choices, so dont fall in love with it, it is just to get the exact reasoning for conclusion. After that follow POE. Hope it helps.

Hi, you dont really need to negate a conclusion every time. comprehend the premise, read the conclusions, shortlist the ones you feel could be the answers wither by your comprehension or by elimination. once you are stuck between 2 choices - try negating the conclusion.

It is funny because the questions posted here are easy. I did the FREE mock 1 by GMAC and the questions are supertough. Now I’m in the search of a question bank that could train me properly...any suggestions?

GMAT OG, OG Review, OG Advanced. If all this isn’t enough, please move on to LSAT CR and RCs. They are tough, but mastering them makes the GMAT verbal a cakewalk.

Answer please?
i dont understand why E can be the answer

IMO A because it states that the research that proved it was actually a real phenomenon did mot do so with statistical significance

while it might be possible that the studies that indicated this as not a real phenomenon did so by either using statistics or not using statistics
