First of all I hope I am posting in the correct forum. I did not find a "Introduce Yourself" section anywhere. I thought posting it in this section made more sense to kind of introduce myself and also find a "Study Buddy" in the process.
My name is Siddharth and I've been working in the automotive industry for about 6 years now. I have a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University (Graduated in 2013). In 2018, after working for 4 years, I realized that I wanted to pursue another degree and started working towards the MBA and enrolled in the GMAT Club forum at the end of 2018.
In 2018, I self prepped for the exam for 6 months and scored a 580. A little dejected by the score, I decided to take some time off and try again in Nov 2019 (A year later
) and ended up scoring a 590 this time 
Clearly, I was doing something wrong self-prepping and so I hired a tutor to guide me in the right direction to achieve the score that I want.
I'm looking to do a Part-Time MBA (Weekend / Evening). The B Schools that I am trying to get into are Ross and McCombs. I have yet to do all the research needed for the application. Hell, I still have to write my GMAT exam. I plan to take the GMAT test in the month of September and hopefully be done with it by then.
I'm looking for friends I can talk to, and study with, while I work towards achieving my goal. I'll be sending a lot of friend requests !
I'm also glad that there is a forum like this around because I get to talk to current B school students and alums through the forum and learn more about everything relevant to the MBA here in general.

hi! What study materials have you used? I used manhattan prep and did not really improve my score. I then used the Economist and had a huge bump in my score

I've actually tried a bunch of materials from Kaplan to Manhattan to Princeton. I haven't actually been focusing at all on my weak areas and have been only focusing on my strengths. I did not actually realize how the CATs work.
I've settled on using GMAT Club as a source to solve various types of problems and spending a lot of time here instead.
