Hi Everyone,
I'm seeking some advice.
I've been accepted to Goizueta with a scholarship for about 2/3 of tuition. I've also been accepted to Kelley with a Dean's Fellowship (covers full tuition/fees and access to the Dean's Council). I'd like to do strategy consulting post-MBA. In a vacuum, I think I'd prefer Goizueta due to its proximity to Atlanta, where many major consulting firms have offices. The fact that there is a city with things to do is a great plus too. However, I've heard that the Dean's Fellowship can be really helpful for networking - namely with previous Dean's Fellows who've landed at top firms.
Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
Hi
I will iterate what I just have posted in other post about Kelley.
I visited Kelley before and have friends there too. It is nice school for many things. In consulting, they have consulting academy which will help you you. However, most consulting firms, as told by Consulting academy director, are 2nd tier like Deloitte or Accenture with few making their way to Mckinsey and much fewer to BCG or Bain. I do not know know how the dean fellowship will help you. You need to check either with with career service or current students who knows about the subject.
In light of your goals, I would lean to Emory as it is great to be in school that has great job in consulting recruitment in the South and main city with regional offices of MBB and other consulting firms. it will give you accessibility for networking. Even if you have to fly, you have Atlanta airport to fly you everywhere. In Kelley, you will have to travel Indy and then take fly from there.
Good luck
