I've sent them a mail too. Only got a couple of auto-replies.

In the meanwhile, I've selected round 3 and am proceeding to complete my application at the earliest.

Lets see what happens in the morning. :roll:


How will proceeding in round 3 help? Won't it create a further technical problem after the solve the glitch?

I don't think there would be any problem. I started filling out my application for round 2 in August and there was a brief period when I felt I can submit it for round 1 and was able to successfully transfer everything I had filled for round 2 to round 1. Off course after that, I moved it again to round 2. Unless they create more glitches - which Kellogg is more than capable of doing - I don't assume there would be any issues moving from round 3 to round 2.

That gives some reassurance. But what if they decide not to reopen Round 2 application giving some stupid reason. We might have to go on protest haha..Have put so much effort on this application.

Hi guys, I eamiled one of AOs. Got auto-replies

Thank you for your interest in the Kellogg MBA program at Northwestern University. The University will be closed on Monday, January 6 and Tuesday, January 7.

So probably they cannot fix the problem until 8th?

I almost had a heart attack thinking I missed the deadline

Glad to know I'm not alone. I hope they fix this tomorrow even though the office is closed and give us an extra day

Dear God! I just had to click the submit button yesterday and I didn't do it. Why!!! :-(
Their website still says, "All deadlines are 11:59pm Central Time on the day listed below. " So i am pretty sure they will get back to us and open it up for R2.

I was reviewing all evening and probably submitted my application just seconds before this whole thing happened! I just now got a notification that my application is submitted.

They have to rectify this at the earliest. Most people do submit on the deadline day and there will be lot more people like the rest of you. I wish they had something like 24/7 support where we could call and bug them :evil:

Oh and I thought I was the only one. I started looking up definitions of PM and CST and all that stuff. I thought I was careless enough. So shall we start with the round 3 application or wait for their response?? Even if we start I don't think we will be able to transfer our recommendations to a new application can we?

Guys, I dont even see the option of Round 2 anymore in the application page. It just shows Round 3. Anyone else facing this?

Yeah, I emailed the common admissions office id, not an individual AO... Got the same automated response, without any mention of the Jan 7th holiday.

On a separate note, got the shock of my life a few mins ago. I only had my video essay to submit and was dressed for it - Imagine the horror when I assumed I had miscalculated/misread the deadline. Phew!

I wonder how they will resolve the issue.

Is anyone considering submitting before the R2 deadline using the R3 option that can still be opened?

I did not dare open the application with R3 selected lest the system clears up all my data. Could anyone who opened it confirm if all of our data are still there?

Hi guys...

Dont know if this has already been reported by the others but I got 2 emails from Kellogg one of them says:
"If your concern is related to a technical issue with your Round 2 application for admission, including issues submitting recommendations, we will address your concern as soon as possible. If a technical issue is identified as preventing the completion of your Round 2 application, we will resolve your issue and consider your application in Round 2."

So I am proceeding with completing the appliation with Round 3 and submitting before the deadline.

Probably, I was too freaked out! Hopefully, they will be able to resolve these issues tomorrow. Unbelievable!

Yes - I couldn't find a save or log out button either.
Pressing "continue" saves your responses and then closing the window logs you out.

I dont see any "ready" or "start recording button" video essay testing page. Anyone else facing this problem?
