I was planning to apply for Round 1 to Wharton, Yale and Duke.

Is it a bad idea to apply while unemployed? Or should I wait for R2?

I think it might be better to apply now since it is so recent. Do you think you will be able to secure a job by R2, that is not that far away and securing a new job can take a long time. I would not apply R1 unless you were already planning on doing this, it will come across if you are cutting corners
