Guys I’m a MIM2022 students and I also had my startup and a full time job during my BA. Even with this similarity, I think that each profile is different, so there is not an unique answer to your question. For this reason I used a consulting firm and I completely owe them my admission, you should do the same.
what industry is your start up? I think dependant on industry you can easily tie it to career goals which relate to the education you get from MiM.
From the advice I gathered from friends and my academic advisor (LBS really likes students from my uni), the career aspect is v important so if you are able to marry the work experience you have/will get to your business idea then that is optimal way to present it to them. if you are planning
just to work on your start up after the MiM then I am not sure how you would present that to them. At the same time dont show yourself as being super unfocused like 'oh I'll do this or maybe this.... or maybe this. maybe this industry instead...'. I doubt they'll appreciate that.
